2021 ist das von den Vereinten Nationen ausgerufene Jahr zur Beseitigung der Kinderarbeit. Als Kinderarbeit wird jede Arbeit bezeichnet, die Kindern die Kindheit nimmt. Ein Kind, das gezwungen ist, zu arbeiten, anstatt zu spielen, verliert sein leichtes Lachen und seine Chance, auf neugierige und kreative Weise zu lernen. Aber f\u00fcr manche Kinder und Familien m\u00fcssen sie arbeiten, weil ihr \u00dcberleben davon abh\u00e4ngt.<\/p>\n

Derzeit sind 40 Millionen Menschen in moderner Sklaverei und 160 Millionen Kinder in Kinderarbeit. Laut dem von UNICEF und der Internationalen Arbeitsorganisation (ILO) im Juni 2021 ver\u00f6ffentlichten gemeinsamen Bericht von UNICEF und der Internationalen Arbeitsorganisation (ILO) ist die Kinderarbeit leider von 152 Millionen zum ersten Mal seit zwei Jahrzehnten gestiegen. Dar\u00fcber hinaus befinden sich jetzt 79 Millionen Kinder im Alter von 5 bis 17 Jahren in gef\u00e4hrlichen Arbeit. Mehr als jedes vierte Kind in den \u00e4rmsten L\u00e4ndern der Welt geht einer potenziell gesundheitssch\u00e4dlichen Arbeit nach.<\/p>\n

Ziel 8.7 der Ziele f\u00fcr nachhaltige Entwicklung 2030 fordert uns auf, zusammenzuarbeiten, um diese inakzeptablen Menschenrechtsverletzungen zu beenden. Mitglieder unseres Mary Ward-Netzwerks unterst\u00fctzen und setzen sich bereits f\u00fcr Kinder ein, die auf den Ziegelfeldern, in versteckten Hausarbeitssituationen und anderen landwirtschaftlichen Kontexten arbeiten. <\/p>\n

Im Einklang mit unserer Verpflichtung, den Menschenhandel auszumerzen und uns um Frauen und Kinder zu k\u00fcmmern, sind wir der globalen Allianz beigetreten und haben uns verpflichtet, uns f\u00fcr die Beseitigung der Kinderarbeit einzusetzen, indem wir das Bewusstsein sch\u00e4rfen und unser globales Netzwerk aus \u00fcber 50.000 Studenten, Mitarbeitern und Mitgliedern zu lokalen Aktionen inspirieren.<\/p>\n
