August 2014) stattfand, ebnete den Weg f\u00fcr thematische Rundtischgespr\u00e4che zu Armutsbek\u00e4mpfung und Bek\u00e4mpfung von Ungleichheiten, nachhaltige Entwicklung, Menschenrechte und Klimawandel, Workshops und Nebenveranstaltungen.\u00a0<\/p><p>Unsere Vertreter schlossen sich den Tausenden von Teilnehmern aus der ganzen Welt f\u00fcr die Veranstaltung an. Doryne Kirby ibvm, Ann McGowan (Direktorin, Mary Ward Center, Toronto), Mary-Eileen Donovan (Vorstandsmitglied Mary Ward Center), Gerry Graham (IBVM Associate), Evanne Hunter ibvm, alle aus Kanada, zusammen mit mehr als zweitausend Teilnehmern versammelten sich in New York zur 65. j\u00e4hrlichen UN-DPI\/NGO-Konferenz.\u00a0<\/p><p>Die DPI-Konferenz war eine gro\u00dfartige Gelegenheit, Menschen aus anderen Teilen der Welt kennenzulernen. Die Stimmen, die Geschichten, die Vielfalt der Menschen aus zivilgesellschaftlichen Organisationen erinnerten uns an unsere globalisierte Welt. Nach den Erfahrungen mit den MDGs als Entwicklungsagenda blicken wir bei der Vorbereitung auf die Entwicklungsagenda nach 2015 mit einer neuen Vision in die Zukunft.<\/p><p>Im Mittelpunkt der Konferenz standen die Entwicklungsagenda f\u00fcr die Zeit nach 2015 und die Rolle der Zivilgesellschaft. Die Verbindung zwischen den verschiedenen Dimensionen wurde st\u00e4ndig betont, ebenso wie die Komplexit\u00e4t der Ziele, Vorgaben und Indikatoren, die sowohl universell als auch lokal sind. Es verpflichtet uns, die paradoxe Realit\u00e4t anzunehmen, fokussiert und klar zu sein, was wir tun k\u00f6nnen, und gleichzeitig offen f\u00fcr die enorme Komplexit\u00e4t des Ganzen zu sein. Es gibt keine L\u00f6sung.<\/p><p>Die Hoffnung ist eine personenzentrierte Entwicklungsagenda. Angesichts der Grenzen unseres Planeten sind der Zugang zu Nahrung, Wasser, sanit\u00e4ren Einrichtungen und Energie sowie die nachhaltige Produktion und der nachhaltige Verbrauch dieser Ressourcen grundlegende Herausforderungen f\u00fcr unser \u00dcberleben. Die entscheidende Frage lautet: Was kann getan werden, um \u00fcber eine Definition des Menschen als blo\u00dfer Konsument hinauszugehen? Ein Jugendvertreter erinnerte die Teilnehmer daran, dass \u201eein moralischer und spiritueller Schlummer uns geblendet hat und nicht sieht, dass wir auf derselben Reise reisen\u201c. \u201eUnsere Organisationen, sagte er, m\u00fcssen \u00fcber die materielle Reise hinausgehen und auch die Seele heilen\u201c.<\/p><p>Die Umsetzung der Post-2015-Agenda wird von entscheidender Bedeutung sein. Fragen, wie die Post-2015-Agenda finanziert wird und wie und von wem die Ergebnisse gemessen werden, bed\u00fcrfen weiterer Ausarbeitung.
