Dezember 2023 feierten wir den 75. Jahrestag der Allgemeinen Erkl\u00e4rung der Menschenrechte \u2013 ein Zeugnis des universellen Strebens nach Gleichheit, Grundfreiheiten und Gerechtigkeit. Dieses grundlegende Dokument bleibt ein globaler Entwurf, der die Erstellung internationaler, nationaler und lokaler Gesetze und Richtlinien leitet. Sie ist ein Eckpfeiler der Agenda 2030 f\u00fcr nachhaltige Entwicklung und zielt darauf ab, die Rechte jedes Einzelnen zu wahren.<\/p><p>Die harte Realit\u00e4t ist jedoch, dass diese Rechte f\u00fcr viele weiterhin unerreichbar sind. Unsere Welt ist von anhaltenden Konflikten und Kriegen gepr\u00e4gt und sorgt daf\u00fcr, dass die Verwirklichung der Menschenrechte ein unerreichbares Ziel zu sein scheint. Eleanor Roosevelts Worte klingen zutiefst nach: &#8220;Wenn wir diese Rechte f\u00fcr uns selbst und f\u00fcr andere beachten&#8230; wir werden feststellen, dass es in der Welt einfacher ist, Frieden aufzubauen, weil der Krieg alle Menschenrechte und Freiheiten zerst\u00f6rt; Wenn wir also f\u00fcr diese k\u00e4mpfen, k\u00e4mpfen wir f\u00fcr den Frieden.&#8221;<\/p><p>W\u00e4hrend der Er\u00f6ffnung der hochrangigen Menschenrechtsveranstaltung in Genf \u00e4u\u00dferte UN-Menschenrechtskommissar Volker T\u00fcrk seine Besorgnis \u00fcber den R\u00fcckschritt von den kritischen Zielen der Agenda f\u00fcr nachhaltige Entwicklung. Er betonte die Einengung des b\u00fcrgerlichen Raums und brachte Stimmen zum Schweigen, die f\u00fcr die Herbeif\u00fchrung des notwendigen Wandels von entscheidender Bedeutung sind. T\u00fcrk betonte: \u201eDie Klimakrise verbrennt unsere Welt.\u201c Diese Krisen sind nicht das Versagen der Menschenrechte; Sie veranschaulichen die Auswirkungen der Missachtung und Verletzung von Menschenrechten.&#8221;<\/p><p>In seiner Ansprache an die anwesenden globalen F\u00fchrungspers\u00f6nlichkeiten betonte er, dass die Grunds\u00e4tze der Menschenrechte die vielversprechendste L\u00f6sung in unserer turbulenten und besorgten Welt seien. T\u00fcrk forderte eine Wiederbelebung des Geistes, der Tatkraft und der Vitalit\u00e4t, die der Allgemeinen Erkl\u00e4rung vor 75 Jahren zugrunde lagen.
