Wir laden Sie ein, an unserer Nebenveranstaltung zur 62. Sitzung der Kommission f\u00fcr soziale Entwicklung (CSocD62) teilzunehmen. Das virtuelle CSocD62 Side Event, “K\u00fcnftige Generationen nicht zur\u00fccklassen: Wie \u00fcberbr\u00fccken wir die wachsende Kluft zwischen Generationen und Gemeinschaften”<\/em> wird gemeinsam mit den Maryknoll Sisters of St. Dominic, VIVAT International und den Medical Mission Sisters veranstaltet 8. Februar (Donnerstag) ab 9:45 – 11 Uhr EST<\/strong>.<\/p>

Das CSocD62-Priorit\u00e4tsthema ist “F\u00f6rderung der sozialen Entwicklung und der sozialen Gerechtigkeit durch Sozialpolitik, um den Fortschritt bei der Umsetzung der Agenda 2030 f\u00fcr nachhaltige Entwicklung zu beschleunigen und das \u00fcbergeordnete Ziel der Armutsbek\u00e4mpfung zu erreichen.”<\/em>\u00a0Die Ziele f\u00fcr nachhaltige Entwicklung f\u00fcr 2030 priorisieren die Beseitigung der Armut, aber wir sind nicht auf dem richtigen Weg, dies zu erreichen. Der Bericht des Generalsekret\u00e4rs von 2023 warnt davor, dass im Jahr 2030 immer noch rund 575 Millionen Menschen, darunter 340 Millionen Frauen und M\u00e4dchen, in extremer Armut leben k\u00f6nnten. Armut ist sowohl ein geschlechtsspezifisches als auch ein Generationenproblem, von dem junge Menschen \u00fcberproportional betroffen sind; weltweit sind \u00fcber 1,8 Milliarden junge Menschen davon betroffen Hindernisse, obwohl es sich um die gr\u00f6\u00dfte Generation handelt.<\/p>

Die Auswirkungen der COVID-19-Pandemie haben die wirtschaftlichen Herausforderungen f\u00fcr junge Menschen, insbesondere f\u00fcr diejenigen mit einem niedrigeren sozio\u00f6konomischen Hintergrund, versch\u00e4rft, wobei jeder F\u00fcnfte einen Arbeitsplatzverlust meldet. Um dieses Problem anzugehen, ist die Einbeziehung sozialer Prinzipien, Menschenrechte und Chancengleichheit in die Regierungspolitik von entscheidender Bedeutung f\u00fcr das Erreichen der 2030-Ziele. Die aktive Beteiligung junger Menschen an Entscheidungsprozessen ist f\u00fcr den unmittelbaren und langfristigen Erfolg von entscheidender Bedeutung.<\/p>

Bei dieser Nebenveranstaltung h\u00f6ren wir die Stimmen junger Frauen und Experten aus den Bereichen Kleinunternehmen, \u00f6ffentliche Ordnung und Wissenschaft und lernen aus ihren Erfahrungen im Zusammenhang mit den intersektionalen Auswirkungen der Armut. Sie werden auch ihre politischen Empfehlungen an ihre Regierung und die Staats- und Regierungschefs der Welt weitergeben, insbesondere Richtlinien, die auf den Grunds\u00e4tzen der sozialen Gerechtigkeit basieren.
