Jahrestag der Pekinger Erkl\u00e4rung und Aktionsplattform veranstalteten mehrere Mary Ward-Schulen lokale Gespr\u00e4chskreise unter Verwendung des Toolkits der Arbeitsgruppe f\u00fcr M\u00e4dchen (WGG). Die WGG lud M\u00e4dchen ein, von M\u00e4dchen geleitete Diskussionen zu leiten, bei denen es um Interessenvertretung ging und darum, die Stimme von M\u00e4dchen in lokalen, nationalen und globalen politischen Prozessen zu st\u00e4rken. Ziel war es, den Dialog zu f\u00f6rdern und F\u00fchrung, Sichtbarkeit und Teilnahme an der Gestaltung der Zukunft zu unterst\u00fctzen.<\/p><p>Die WGG wurde im Vorfeld der Frauenkonferenz 1995 in Peking auf Ersuchen von UNICEF gegr\u00fcndet, um die einzigartigen Herausforderungen anzugehen, denen M\u00e4dchen weltweit gegen\u00fcberstehen \u2013 viele ihrer Rechte gehen vor dem Erwachsenenalter verloren. In Zusammenarbeit mit afrikanischen Frauen engagierte sich die WGG bei NGOs und Regierungsdelegierten, um sich f\u00fcr die Einbeziehung von M\u00e4dchen in die Aktionsplattform von Peking einzusetzen, was zur einstimmigen Annahme von Abschnitt L \u00fcber M\u00e4dchen durch alle 189 Mitgliedsstaaten f\u00fchrte.<\/p><p>\u00dcber 670 M\u00e4dchen, darunter Teilnehmerinnen aus 13 Mary Ward-Schulen, nahmen an lokalen Konsultationen teil, die in den CSW69-Schattenbericht \u00fcber heranwachsende M\u00e4dchen einflossen. Der Bericht, der UN Women vorgelegt und an Mitgliedstaaten, UN-Agenturen und NGOs weitergegeben wurde, zeigt, dass 30 Jahre nach der Pekinger Erkl\u00e4rung keines der strategischen Ziele f\u00fcr M\u00e4dchen (Abschnitt L) erreicht wurde.
