Der Welttag der Migranten und Fl\u00fcchtlinge wird von der katholischen Kirche am letzten Sonntag im September begangen. Dieses Jahr war es am 26. September. Das Thema war “Auf dem Weg zu einem immer breiteren “WIR.”<\/p>

Wir sind aufgerufen, an die vielen schutzbed\u00fcrftigen Menschen zu erinnern, die auf der Suche nach einer sichereren Zukunft aus ihrer Heimat fliehen m\u00fcssen. Wir sind aufgerufen, unsere Herzen zu \u00f6ffnen, willkommen zu sein, inklusiv zu sein und die “anderen” und feiern unsere Vielfalt.<\/p>

Christa Parra IBVM lebt und arbeitet derzeit mit Migranten an der Grenze von El Paso, USA und Juarez, Mexiko. Sie arbeitet mit anderen Schwestern aus verschiedenen Ordensgemeinschaften und Freiwilligen zusammen. Sie wurde von Judy Illig IBVM und Mary Carton IBVM besucht.<\/p>

Mary Carton sagte den Besuch “war ein pastoraler Besuch bei Christa \u2013 um sie in ihrem Zuhause und an ihrem Arbeitsplatz zu sehen, die Menschen zu treffen, die ihr wichtig sind und die ihr Leben geben, um zu sehen, wie ihr Glaube und ihre Verbindung zum IBVM unterst\u00fctzt werden.<\/em>” Sie konnten auch andere Fl\u00fcchtlingsunterk\u00fcnfte auf beiden Seiten der Grenze besuchen. Sie hatten das Gl\u00fcck, mit einigen der Migrantinnen und ihren Kindern Geschichten und Mahlzeiten teilen zu k\u00f6nnen.<\/p>

Maria erz\u00e4hlt die Geschichte:<\/p>

“Donnerstagmorgen sa\u00dfen wir alle im Kreis. Christa lud jede Frau ein, ihre Geschichte \u2013 so viel oder so wenig sie wollte \u2013 auf Spanisch zu erz\u00e4hlen. Christa \u00fcbersetzte es dann Judy und mir. Um es in Gang zu bringen, bat sie uns beide, ein wenig \u00fcber uns selbst zu erz\u00e4hlen, damit sie etwas \u00fcber uns erfahren konnten. Dann erz\u00e4hlten die anderen nach und nach Geschichten. Einige Aspekte der Reise kamen heraus \u2013 der Grund f\u00fcr das Verlassen Guatemalas, nicht allzu viel \u00fcber die Reise, die Schwierigkeiten in einigen Unterk\u00fcnften auf dem Weg und die Herausforderungen an der Grenze. Dieses Netzwerk von Tierheimen in Juarez\/El Paso ist ein wohlt\u00e4tiges und sicheres Netzwerk. Aber nicht alles. K\u00f6rperverletzung, Missbrauch, Drogen, Diebstahl – sie jeweils \u2013 Mutter und Kind – hatte einiges oder alles davon auf dem Weg erfahren. Sie sprachen aber auch von den sch\u00f6nen Landschaften entlang des Weges. Es war, wie Judy sagte, herzerw\u00e4rmend und herzzerrei\u00dfend, zuzuh\u00f6ren. Tr\u00e4nen flossen zu unterschiedlichen Zeiten, Umarmungen gab es im \u00dcberfluss, nachdem wir uns auf eine neue Art kennengelernt hatten. Schwestern sind wir alle.”<\/em><\/p>
