K\u00fcrzlich kamen die Nationen der Welt in Glasgow zusammen, um an der Klimakonferenz der Vereinten Nationen 2021 teilzunehmen, die besser bekannt ist als COP26.<\/p><p>W\u00e4hrend im Vorfeld der COP26 Tausende in Glasgow marschierten, um auf bessere und wirksamere Aktionspl\u00e4ne zu dr\u00e4ngen, haben wir als IBVM unseren Beitrag zur Bek\u00e4mpfung der Unt\u00e4tigkeit im Klimabereich geleistet und am 25. Oktober von Jugendlichen gef\u00fchrte Gespr\u00e4che \u00fcber Klimagerechtigkeit veranstaltet. 2021. Carlota Gayo aus Spanien, Ailish Gaughan und Ellie Johnson aus Gro\u00dfbritannien sowie Riya Bhargava vom New Yorker B\u00fcro des IBVM arbeiteten zusammen, um Aspekte des Klimawandels zu untersuchen und anzusprechen, die die jungen Menschen am meisten beunruhigten.<\/p><p>Carlota sprach \u00fcber Erwartungen und die Relevanz staatlicher Ma\u00dfnahmen im aktuellen Klimaszenario, w\u00e4hrend Riya ihre Zeit nutzte, um zu untersuchen, wie Unternehmen in Bezug auf die Klimapolitik bessere Ergebnisse erzielen k\u00f6nnen und warum Klimaschutzma\u00dfnahmen Vorrang vor kurzfristigen Gewinnen haben. Die Verf\u00fcgbarkeit sauberer Wasserressourcen, ein weiteres Hauptanliegen, das in der Umfrage hervorgehoben wurde, wurde von Ailish im Zusammenhang mit SDG 6: Sauberes Wasser und Sanit\u00e4rversorgung f\u00fcr alle angesprochen. Schlie\u00dflich untersuchte Ellie die Schnittstelle zwischen pers\u00f6nlichem Handeln und Klimaschutz.<\/p><p>Die Gruppe, unterst\u00fctzt von Sr. Cecilia O&#8217;Dwyer und Sr. Kathyrn Keigher, war au\u00dferdem Gastgeber von Mike Kane, einem Abgeordneten aus dem Vereinigten K\u00f6nigreich, und Beth Blissman, Vertreterin der Loretto-Gemeinschaft bei den Vereinten Nationen.
