K\u00fcrzlich habe ich von August bis Dezember 2022 ein virtuelles Praktikum beim IBVM\/CJ-NGO-B\u00fcro der Vereinten Nationen (UN) absolviert. Ich habe \u00fcber das breitere Mary-Ward-Netzwerk etwas \u00fcber das B\u00fcro und seine Arbeit erfahren, da ich an einer Mary-Ward-Schule gearbeitet habe , St. Mary School Ascot, im Vereinigten K\u00f6nigreich zwischen 2021 und 2022.<\/p>

W\u00e4hrend meiner f\u00fcnfmonatigen Zusammenarbeit mit Janet Palafox IBVM, Cynthia Mathew CJ und den anderen Praktikanten nahm ich an zahlreichen Meetings und Webinaren teil. Ich nahm an regelm\u00e4\u00dfigen Treffen von UN-NGO-Aussch\u00fcssen und Arbeitsgruppen teil, denen wir angeh\u00f6rten, und schloss mich einem Planungsausschuss der Working Group on Girls (WGG) f\u00fcr eine hybride virtuelle und pers\u00f6nliche Veranstaltung zum Internationalen Tag des M\u00e4dchens an.<\/p>

Obwohl ich dieses Mal nicht nach New York reisen konnte, empfand ich das Praktikum dennoch als eine faszinierende, intensive und \u00e4u\u00dferst lohnende Erfahrung. Ich habe mehr Erfahrung im Social-Media-Design und in der Planung gesammelt und eine Ausbildung in Videobearbeitung erhalten. Ich habe auch eine Recherche und Umfrage unter unseren Studierenden und unserem Netzwerk durchgef\u00fchrt, die dann f\u00fcr unsere schriftliche Erkl\u00e4rung verwendet wurde, die wir in Zusammenarbeit mit anderen NGOs der UN-Kommission f\u00fcr den Status der Frau (CSW) vorgelegt haben.<\/p>

Eines der lohnendsten Projekte w\u00e4hrend meiner Zeit als Praktikantin war die Mitarbeit bei der Planung und Ausrichtung des International Day of the Girl Summit \u201eGirls Speak Out!\u201c. im Oktober. Das hybride (virtuelle und pers\u00f6nliche) Format dieser Veranstaltung erm\u00f6glichte es einem gro\u00dfen Publikum, die ECOSOC-Kammer im UN-Hauptquartier in New York pers\u00f6nlich zu besuchen und anderen aus der ganzen Welt online beizutreten. Die Veranstaltung bot einer inspirierenden und beeindruckenden Gruppe von Girl Advocates aus allen Teilen der Welt eine Plattform. Es war f\u00fcr mich und die anderen Teilnehmer eine dem\u00fctigende Erfahrung, ihre Geschichten und die Einzelheiten der Bem\u00fchungen zu h\u00f6ren, die sie jeden Tag unternehmen, um das Leben von Frauen und M\u00e4dchen in ihren Gemeinden und dar\u00fcber hinaus zu verbessern.<\/p>

F\u00fcr die Zukunft werde ich ein neu gewonnenes Wissen \u00fcber die allt\u00e4gliche Arbeit der Vereinten Nationen und ihrer Bestandteile mitnehmen sowie eine Wertsch\u00e4tzung f\u00fcr die wertvolle Arbeit, die von engagierten Menschen geleistet wird, die ihre Zeit und Energie darauf verwenden, die Welt zu einem besseren Ort zu machen. Ich hoffe, dass ich in Zukunft wieder mit der IBVM\/CJ UNNGO oder einem anderen UN-Gremium zusammenarbeiten kann. Ich werde immer dankbar daf\u00fcr sein, dass meine Zeit als Praktikant hier mein Bewusstsein f\u00fcr wichtige globale und humanit\u00e4re Probleme und die M\u00f6glichkeiten, wie wir alle zu ihrer Bew\u00e4ltigung beitragen k\u00f6nnen, erweitert hat. Ich w\u00fcrde die M\u00f6glichkeit, ein Praktikum bei der IBVM\/CJ UNNGO zu absolvieren, entweder aus der Ferne oder pers\u00f6nlich, jedem empfehlen, der sich f\u00fcr Interessenvertretung, Menschenrechtsfragen und NGO-Arbeit im weiteren Sinne interessiert.<\/p>
