Se utiliza para una difusi\u00f3n eficiente y de amplio alcance del conocimiento en formas de aprendizaje a distancia y educaci\u00f3n en l\u00ednea que fomentan entornos de aprendizaje inclusivos. Proporciona espacios inclusivos para que las personas compartan experiencias e inquietudes y les permite desarrollar conexiones y c\u00edrculos sociales que de otra manera no ser\u00edan posibles. Y, sin embargo, a mitad de camino de los Objetivos de Desarrollo Sostenible 2030, persiste una brecha digital de g\u00e9nero y la mayor\u00eda de los 2.700 millones de personas que carecen de acceso a Internet son mujeres y ni\u00f1as.<\/p><p>En colaboraci\u00f3n con VIVAT International, Medical Mission Sisters y JCoR, organizamos un evento paralelo durante la CSW 67 en la sala de exposiciones virtual de JCoR sobre el papel de la educaci\u00f3n digital en la aceleraci\u00f3n de la igualdad de g\u00e9nero. El panel de oradores de nuestra red incluy\u00f3 a Leonida Kwamboka Oriki IBVM de Kenia, la Directora Ejecutiva de Mujeres para Mujeres en \u00c1frica, su ex alumna, Mary Selina Munala y la actual estudiante de Loreto India, Aparajita. A ellas se unieron otras mujeres l\u00edderes, estudiantes y j\u00f3venes que compartieron sobre los problemas que enfrentan y las soluciones sensibles al g\u00e9nero para abordar la brecha digital de g\u00e9nero.<\/p><p>Escuchamos a los oradores hablar de los numerosos obst\u00e1culos que enfrentaron para acceder a la tecnolog\u00eda. Estos inclu\u00edan la falta de alfabetizaci\u00f3n y habilidades digitales; acceso a computadoras, Internet y electricidad a precios asequibles; concienciaci\u00f3n sobre privacidad y seguridad; y las \u201cnormas sociales de g\u00e9nero\u201d prevalecientes que obstaculizan no solo su acceso al hardware sino tambi\u00e9n a la educaci\u00f3n STEM.<\/p><p>El seminario web destac\u00f3 lo que las mujeres j\u00f3venes pueden lograr cuando se eliminan las barreras a la tecnolog\u00eda.
