Sin embargo, el uso de la tecnolog\u00eda digital para lograr el desarrollo social presenta el problema de la brecha digital. Solo el 53,6 por ciento del mundo usa Internet, dejando a menos de la mitad sin Internet.<\/p><p>El Secretario General destac\u00f3 que &quot;no dejar a nadie atr\u00e1s significa no dejar a nadie desconectado&quot;. Tambi\u00e9n sugiri\u00f3 que &quot;ir\u00f3nicamente, quienes est\u00e1n en el lado equivocado de la brecha digital son a menudo los grupos sociales cuyo bienestar podr\u00eda mejorarse m\u00e1s con esas tecnolog\u00edas&quot;.<\/p><p>El Secretario General abord\u00f3 las cuatro categor\u00edas generales de la brecha digital, que incluyen: <strong>acceso, asequibilidad, habilidades y conciencia.<\/strong><\/p><p>En t\u00e9rminos de acceso, el Secretario General enfatiz\u00f3 la importancia del sector privado, en sus esfuerzos por aumentar la infraestructura de TIC, especialmente en \u00e1reas rurales y remotas. Bangladesh y Myanmar aumentaron su rango de banda ancha del 10 por ciento al 90 por ciento al abrir la competencia en el mercado.<\/p><p>Para cerrar la brecha digital, el acceso tecnol\u00f3gico debe ser asequible. En \u00c1frica, el precio medio de la banda ancha fija es el 64 por ciento del ingreso medio del continente. Para combatir este problema, lugares como Colombia han implementado programas de subsidios para hogares de bajos ingresos.<\/p><p>El Secretario General mencion\u00f3 que otra barrera para la brecha digital son las habilidades. El Secretario General dijo que las escuelas est\u00e1n en el centro de los esfuerzos para educar a las personas en las habilidades y la competencia digitales.<\/p><p>Por \u00faltimo, la conciencia tambi\u00e9n es una barrera para la brecha digital. Hay pocos incentivos para conectarse en l\u00ednea debido a la escasez de contenido relevante en l\u00ednea. Fomentar el contenido diverso en l\u00ednea contribuir\u00e1 al proceso de reducci\u00f3n de la brecha digital.<\/p><p>El IBVM \/ CJ centr\u00f3 su declaraci\u00f3n oral en CSocD59 en el tema del acceso a una educaci\u00f3n de calidad y su v\u00ednculo con el acceso a la tecnolog\u00eda digital. El IBVM \/ CJ recopil\u00f3 informaci\u00f3n de la red local sobre su experiencia del impacto del acceso desigual a la tecnolog\u00eda digital en el acceso a una educaci\u00f3n de calidad.<\/p><p>Informaron que durante el COVID-19, la educaci\u00f3n se ha colocado en l\u00ednea, lo que ha tenido impactos positivos en quienes tienen acceso a la tecnolog\u00eda digital. Sin embargo, quienes no tienen acceso a la tecnolog\u00eda digital, est\u00e1n experimentando una mayor desigualdad.
