Cuando el gobierno canadiense eval\u00faa su progreso en los Objetivos de Desarrollo Sostenible, los formuladores de pol\u00edticas deben escuchar a quienes est\u00e1n en el terreno.<\/em><\/h6>

Esta convicci\u00f3n surgi\u00f3 de una reuni\u00f3n de enero de 2023 entre el personal del Centro Mary Ward en Toronto y colegas de los ministerios de justicia social de las Hermanas de San Jos\u00e9 de Toronto y la Federaci\u00f3n Canadiense de las Hermanas de San Jos\u00e9. Conscientes de que el gobierno canadiense estaba preparando una Revisi\u00f3n Nacional Voluntaria (ENV) de su progreso hasta la fecha en el logro de los Objetivos de Desarrollo Sostenible (ODS), decidimos elaborar en colaboraci\u00f3n un informe receptivo de la sociedad civil. \u00bfNadie se queda atr\u00e1s? Un an\u00e1lisis interseccional de la Agenda 2030 en Canad\u00e1<\/em> destaca las voces de los j\u00f3venes de 15 a 19 a\u00f1os y de los trabajadores migrantes en Canad\u00e1, y examina el impacto de la pandemia de COVID-19 y los esfuerzos de recuperaci\u00f3n en el logro de los ODS.<\/p>

Luego de un proceso de redacci\u00f3n de cinco meses, llevamos nuestro informe al Foro Pol\u00edtico de Alto Nivel (HLPF) para compartirlo con funcionarios gubernamentales. Nuestra delegaci\u00f3n, patrocinada por la Oficina de la ONU de IBVM\/CJ, incluy\u00f3 a Varka Kalaydzhieva (Hermanas de San Jos\u00e9 de Toronto), Hnas. Sue Wilson y Joan Atkinson (Federaci\u00f3n Canadiense de las Hermanas de San Jos\u00e9), la representante juvenil, Brantella Williams, el representante de los trabajadores migrantes, Gabriel Allahdua y yo. La Oficina de ONG ONU coordin\u00f3 una reuni\u00f3n con la Misi\u00f3n Permanente de Canad\u00e1 para que pudi\u00e9ramos compartir los hallazgos de nuestro informe y discutir los pr\u00f3ximos pasos para nuestras recomendaciones. Tambi\u00e9n asistimos a una recepci\u00f3n ofrecida por la Misi\u00f3n de Canad\u00e1 en v\u00edsperas de la presentaci\u00f3n del VNR canadiense y nos reunimos con el Representante de la Misi\u00f3n Permanente de Canad\u00e1, el Embajador Bob Rae, as\u00ed como con otros miembros de la delegaci\u00f3n oficial.<\/p>

Si bien la presentaci\u00f3n del ENV de Canad\u00e1 fue en \u00faltima instancia decepcionante, al centrarse en logros selectivos y omitir contenido sustancial sobre las brechas restantes, se espera que las relaciones desarrolladas a trav\u00e9s de este proceso, tanto con funcionarios gubernamentales como con organizaciones de la sociedad civil, conduzcan a mejores resultados en el futuro. Ya en Canad\u00e1, nuestro grupo colaborativo se reuni\u00f3 con funcionarios federales responsables de la coordinaci\u00f3n de los ODS y tenemos planes para continuar la promoci\u00f3n y mejorar la participaci\u00f3n entre la sociedad civil, el gobierno y otros socios.<\/p>

Mis esfuerzos de promoci\u00f3n en Canad\u00e1 se vieron enriquecidos por la colaboraci\u00f3n de nuestra delegaci\u00f3n CJ\/IBVM. Mientras me acerqu\u00e9 al gobierno canadiense, Fionnuala Lynch IBVM y Giovanna Muha CJ se acercaron a Irlanda y Rumania, respectivamente. Compartimos consejos sobre c\u00f3mo reunirnos con funcionarios y aprendimos de nuestras respectivas presentaciones de ENV, con Rumania e Irlanda a la cabeza en la participaci\u00f3n de ni\u00f1os y j\u00f3venes en sus informes.<\/p>

Mi experiencia general en el FPAN fue ser parte de un equipo que trabaj\u00f3 juntos con alegr\u00eda para hacer que los gobiernos rindieran cuentas de sus compromisos con los ODS, y lo hizo desde nuestro carisma compartido de Mary Ward. Trabajar juntos en el HLPF ha consolidado nuestra determinaci\u00f3n de continuar compartiendo los aprendizajes sobre la promoci\u00f3n de los ODS con nuestros compa\u00f1eros representantes de la ONU de CJ\/IBVM y de formar un subcomit\u00e9 que impulsar\u00e1 los esfuerzos en los ODS para ayudar a garantizar que realmente no dejemos a nadie atr\u00e1s en nuestro viaje hacia 2030.<\/p>
