la Conferencia de la Sociedad Civil (CSC)<\/strong> se llev\u00f3 a cabo en Nairobi, Kenia, los d\u00edas 9 y 10 de mayo de 2024. Tuvimos la suerte de poder invitar y tener ocho delegados de nuestra red participando, incluidos dos estudiantes de Loreto Msongari junto con su maestra. Ellos son: Jackline Mwongela ibvm (Lucha contra la trata de personas); Leonida Kwamboka Oriki ibvm (Mujeres para Mujeres en \u00c1frica); Pauline Wambui ibvm (Loreto Neema); Maureen Wanyora (Loreto Msongari); Phylice Nyabate (Profesora de Loreto Msongari); Keendi Mwangi y Latifa Okoyo (estudiantes de Loreto Msongari). Tambi\u00e9n asisti\u00f3 al evento en representaci\u00f3n de Pax Christi Internacional Teresia Wamuru Wachira ibvm.<\/p>

Nuestra delegaci\u00f3n se reuni\u00f3 el primer d\u00eda para asistir a la Apertura Plenaria y organizar a qu\u00e9 eventos y sesiones de la Coalici\u00f3n ImPACT asistir\u00eda cada miembro. Para casi todos nuestros delegados, era la primera vez que asist\u00edan a una conferencia de la ONU y hab\u00eda una mezcla palpable de entusiasmo y aprensi\u00f3n, ya que no estaban seguros de qu\u00e9 esperar. Sin embargo, los copresidentes del CSC y varios copresidentes de los comit\u00e9s brindaron una excelente introducci\u00f3n y explicaci\u00f3n del prop\u00f3sito de la conferencia y el programa de dos d\u00edas.<\/p>

Antes del CSC, algunos de nuestros delegados asistieron a dos reuniones previas a la conferencia con el equipo de Faith for Earth y los socios de Girl Deliver. Tambi\u00e9n asistimos a una reuni\u00f3n con la Directora Ejecutiva Adjunta de ONU Mujeres, Nyaradzayi Gumbonzvanda, despu\u00e9s del primer d\u00eda de CSC.<\/p>

Fe para la Tierra<\/strong>
Pauline Wambui IBVM y yo asistimos a un encuentro organizado por Rohan Dominic CMF de Claretian \u2013 Fondazione Proclade Internazionale. La reuni\u00f3n, celebrada para los miembros de Religiosos de la ONU (RUN) que asistieron a la conferencia de Nairobi, fue con el equipo de la Coalici\u00f3n Fe para la Tierra. Esta coalici\u00f3n, establecida bajo el Programa de las Naciones Unidas para el Medio Ambiente (PNUMA), tiene como objetivo involucrar a actores religiosos en los esfuerzos de protecci\u00f3n y conservaci\u00f3n del medio ambiente. Actualmente, colaboran con 15 religiones y 90 congregaciones, proporcionando recursos como un proceso de auditor\u00eda de consumo ambiental y pautas de festivales sostenibles.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

Durante la reuni\u00f3n, la coalici\u00f3n enfatiz\u00f3 el papel crucial de la participaci\u00f3n de la comunidad religiosa en la ONU y explor\u00f3 formas para que participemos en sus esfuerzos. Esta sesi\u00f3n sirvi\u00f3 como valiosa preparaci\u00f3n para la pr\u00f3xima conferencia.<\/p>

Junto a nuestras dos delegadas de Loreto Msongari, participamos en el Girl Deliver partners’ reuni\u00f3n para elaborar estrategias sobre el avance de las adolescentes’ derechos humanos en la pr\u00f3xima CSC y Cumbre del Futuro. Keendi y Latifah, las \u00fanicas delegadas presentes, representaron a nuestro grupo y compartieron sus perspectivas. Cada organizaci\u00f3n present\u00f3 sus planes de acci\u00f3n de promoci\u00f3n: el Grupo de Trabajo sobre las Ni\u00f1as (WGG) destac\u00f3 nuestra sumisi\u00f3n al Pacto para el Futuro e introdujo el Conjunto de herramientas del C\u00edrculo de Conversaci\u00f3n, mientras que Plan International present\u00f3 el Pacto para las Ni\u00f1as para el Futuro.<\/p>

La reuni\u00f3n concluy\u00f3 con un acuerdo para continuar la colaboraci\u00f3n y centrarse en prioridades comunes de promoci\u00f3n. Muchos de nosotros, como representantes de organizaciones, tambi\u00e9n planeamos participar en la Coalici\u00f3n ImPACT sobre la juventud y el compromiso intergeneracional: acci\u00f3n colectiva para j\u00f3venes, adolescentes y generaciones mayores.<\/p>

ONU Mujeres<\/strong>
Nuestras dos delegadas, Latifah y Keendi, tuvieron el privilegio de conocer a Nyaradzayi Gumbonzvanda, directora ejecutiva adjunta de ONU Mujeres, en la reuni\u00f3n organizada por ONU Mujeres en su oficina de Nairobi. Eran las delegadas m\u00e1s j\u00f3venes presentes y abordaron con confianza sus apasionadas preocupaciones sobre cuestiones sociales, espec\u00edficamente la salud mental y la violencia de g\u00e9nero.<\/p>

Durante el encuentro se enfatiz\u00f3 la importancia de la solidaridad y la construcci\u00f3n de relaciones. La tendencia de las mujeres y las ni\u00f1as a a veces arrebatar sus “derechos” Tambi\u00e9n se reconoci\u00f3 que se daba por sentado. Es fundamental recordar que "los derechos no se otorgan, se toman".<\/p>
