El tema prioritario es<em> \u201cTransici\u00f3n socialmente justa hacia el desarrollo sostenible: el papel de las tecnolog\u00edas digitales en el desarrollo social y el bienestar de todos\u201d.<\/em><\/p><p>El informe del Secretario General abord\u00f3 la necesidad de un movimiento socialmente justo hacia un \u201cdesarrollo inclusivo, equitativo, resiliente y sostenible para todos\u201d en el contexto de las tecnolog\u00edas digitales. La COVID-19 aceler\u00f3 el ritmo de la transformaci\u00f3n digital, lo que trajo una serie de beneficios socioecon\u00f3micos. La tecnolog\u00eda digital tiene el potencial de brindar nuevas oportunidades para lograr tres de los principales Objetivos de Desarrollo Social: erradicar la pobreza, promover el empleo pleno y productivo y fomentar la inclusi\u00f3n social.<\/p><p>Sin embargo, el uso de la tecnolog\u00eda digital para lograr el desarrollo social plantea el problema de la brecha digital. S\u00f3lo el 53,6 por ciento del mundo utiliza Internet, lo que deja poco menos de la mitad sin Internet.<\/p><p>Junto con VIVAT International, presentamos una declaraci\u00f3n escrita para resaltar los problemas que enfrentan los estudiantes, trabajadores y propietarios de peque\u00f1as empresas con poco o ning\u00fan acceso digital durante la pandemia.
