Las personas est\u00e1n en el centro de la Agenda 2030 y esta es una gran victoria. Pero necesitamos encontrar formas de desarrollar la capacidad en un n\u00famero creciente de personas para contribuir a estos objetivos, cada uno de acuerdo con sus circunstancias particulares.<\/p><p>La identificaci\u00f3n como ciudadano global comienza con el reconocimiento de la unidad de la familia humana, nuestra interconexi\u00f3n entre nosotros como individuos y naciones, y nuestra responsabilidad de una relaci\u00f3n sostenible con la tierra. Un ciudadano global se esfuerza por lograr la igualdad entre todos los pueblos, independientemente de cualquier categorizaci\u00f3n superficial como g\u00e9nero, raza, etnia o identidad nacional o religiosa. La educaci\u00f3n para la ciudadan\u00eda mundial promueve el honor y la dignidad humanos, la cooperaci\u00f3n, la confiabilidad, la compasi\u00f3n y el deseo de servir a los dem\u00e1s. La capacidad humana se define no solo por el potencial de uno para lograr metas, sino tambi\u00e9n por la determinaci\u00f3n de uno de tomar las acciones necesarias.<\/p><p style=\"text-align: justify;\">La capacidad de leer la realidad social y emprender acciones efectivas requiere una educaci\u00f3n que nos dote de las actitudes, conocimientos y habilidades adecuados; tales como las capacidades que apoyan la justicia social y econ\u00f3mica tanto dentro como entre las naciones, y la toma de decisiones sin confrontaciones en todos los niveles de la sociedad. La educaci\u00f3n, formal, no formal e informal que promueva la comprensi\u00f3n de nuestros roles y responsabilidades ser\u00e1 necesaria desde las edades m\u00e1s tempranas, a lo largo de nuestra vida.<\/p><p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Para inspirar a las personas de todo el mundo a defender el desarrollo social, es necesario promover con entusiasmo una comprensi\u00f3n profunda de la ciudadan\u00eda mundial a trav\u00e9s de programas educativos en todo el mundo. Por eso, hoy hacemos 3 recomendaciones:<\/p><ul style=\"text-align: justify;\"><li>Que el sistema de las Naciones Unidas pida a los Estados miembros que promuevan la educaci\u00f3n para la ciudadan\u00eda mundial en todos los niveles y etapas de la vida de la poblaci\u00f3n.<\/li><li>Que los gobiernos apoyen los esfuerzos que ya est\u00e1n en marcha y garanticen la cooperaci\u00f3n de los sistemas educativos internacionales, la sociedad civil y los sistemas sociales.<\/li><li>Que la sociedad civil y todas las partes interesadas incluyan la ciudadan\u00eda global en sus iniciativas educativas y sociales.<\/li><\/ul><p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Fomentar la ciudadan\u00eda mundial es una estrategia pr\u00e1ctica para promover la implementaci\u00f3n universal de los objetivos de desarrollo sostenible.
