El objetivo de esta iniciativa era crear un espacio para que los j\u00f3venes se expresaran sobre temas internacionales relacionados con las Naciones Unidas (ONU) y tratar de atraer participantes para que se involucraran en pr\u00f3ximas actividades\/eventos.<\/p><p>La organizaci\u00f3n de este di\u00e1logo entre Alumni y el Representante de la Juventud se estructur\u00f3 en diferentes apartados.<\/p><p>El evento comenz\u00f3 con una breve presentaci\u00f3n de los participantes y un gran agradecimiento por participar en la encuesta lanzada en mayo en la que se pregunt\u00f3 a los posibles asistentes sobre sus conocimientos e intereses sobre los ODS de la ONU. Luego Cecilia O&#039;Dwyer explic\u00f3 la misi\u00f3n del IBVM\/CJ ante la ONU como ONG. La oficina desempe\u00f1a un papel importante dentro del grupo de la sociedad civil en el Consejo Econ\u00f3mico y Social (ECOSOC) y el Departamento de Comunicaciones Globales.<\/p><p>Luego discutimos los siguientes ODS:<\/p><ul><li><strong>Social: Paz, Justicia e Instituciones S\u00f3lidas (ODS 16)<\/strong><br \/>La situaci\u00f3n en Ucrania fue una de las principales cuestiones abordadas en t\u00e9rminos de paz y estabilidad globales. Las dos caras de la moneda, el multilateralismo y el unilateralismo, est\u00e1n hoy en disputa con Rusia ejerciendo fuerza contra el territorio ucraniano atacado. Adem\u00e1s, los j\u00f3venes participantes estaban preocupados por los cr\u00edmenes de guerra cometidos por las tropas rusas. Ante este escenario, es extremadamente dif\u00edcil encontrar una soluci\u00f3n pac\u00edfica. Sin embargo, es clave establecer medidas preventivas destinadas a evitar la violencia y la guerra.<\/li><li><strong>Econ\u00f3mico: Trabajo decente y crecimiento econ\u00f3mico (ODS 8)<\/strong><br \/>A pesar del efecto de la covid-19 en la econom\u00eda, los asistentes destacaron el papel que jugar\u00e1 la digitalizaci\u00f3n en los pr\u00f3ximos a\u00f1os, en los que la tecnolog\u00eda crear\u00e1 nuevos puestos de trabajo o destruir\u00e1 algunos de los que ya existen. Por lo tanto, todos coincidieron en que es imprescindible adaptarse a las m\u00e1quinas que cambian r\u00e1pidamente y a los avances tecnol\u00f3gicos. Adem\u00e1s, resaltaron la importancia del trabajo de las mujeres y la lucha para luchar por la igualdad de oportunidades laborales sin ning\u00fan tipo de brecha de g\u00e9nero (tambi\u00e9n en l\u00ednea con el ODS 5: Igualdad de g\u00e9nero).<\/li><li><strong>Medioambiental: Agua limpia y saneamiento (ODS 6), energ\u00eda limpia y asequible<\/strong><br \/><strong>(ODS 7) y Ciudades y Comunidades Sostenibles (ODS 11)<\/strong><br \/>El acceso al agua b\u00e1sica es un derecho fundamental que debe ser disfrutado por todo ser humano. Sin embargo, los participantes coincidieron en que en muchos pa\u00edses ese no es el caso. Una de las ni\u00f1as comparti\u00f3 su experiencia de contribuir al despliegue de plantas de purificaci\u00f3n de agua en la India durante su trabajo voluntario hace tres a\u00f1os. En consecuencia, los pa\u00edses desarrollados (el Norte Global) deben ayudar a aquellos que necesitan ayuda urgente (el Sur Global) a tener acceso a agua no contaminada. Para ello, la buena gobernanza deber\u00eda ser un principio rector para los gobiernos locales. Al repasar los \u00faltimos ODS (n\u00ba7 y n\u00ba11), todos compart\u00edan la necesidad de adaptarse a las nuevas fuentes de energ\u00eda renovables y aplicarlas en las zonas metropolitanas y urbanizadas de las ciudades. Generar energ\u00eda limpia y dejar atr\u00e1s los combustibles f\u00f3siles deber\u00eda ser una prioridad.<\/li><\/ul><p>Cada participante pudo expresarse c\u00f3moda y honestamente mientras se escuchaban unos a otros&#8217; puntos de vista.
