Seg\u00fan el Informe sobre las Migraciones Mundiales 2022 de la Organizaci\u00f3n Internacional para las Migraciones (OIM), la estimaci\u00f3n global actual es que hab\u00eda alrededor de 281 millones de migrantes internacionales en el mundo en 2020, lo que equivale al 3,6 por ciento de la poblaci\u00f3n mundial.<\/p><p>En 2018, los l\u00edderes mundiales se reunieron para encontrar soluciones que hicieran que la migraci\u00f3n fuera segura, ordenada y regular. El <a href=\"https:\/\/migrationnetwork.un.org\/sites\/g\/files\/tmzbdl416\/files\/docs\/gcm.pdf\">Pacto Mundial para una Migraci\u00f3n Segura, Ordenada y Regular<\/a> (GCM) es un acuerdo internacional adoptado en diciembre de 2018. Como primer marco global para la gobernanza de la migraci\u00f3n, tiene como objetivo aumentar la colaboraci\u00f3n internacional en todos los aspectos relacionados con la migraci\u00f3n, incluidos los derechos humanos, las necesidades humanitarias y el desarrollo.<\/p><p>En 2022, cuatro a\u00f1os despu\u00e9s de adoptar el Pacto Mundial para la Migraci\u00f3n, los gobiernos, las partes interesadas y el sistema de las Naciones Unidas se reunieron para discutir los \u00e9xitos y desaf\u00edos de la implementaci\u00f3n de este marco cooperativo. El primer Foro Internacional sobre Migraciones (IMRF) tuvo lugar en la Asamblea General de Nueva York del 17 al 20 de mayo para revisar los avances realizados a nivel local, nacional, regional y global en la implementaci\u00f3n del PMM.<\/p><p>El IMRF 2022 consisti\u00f3 en cuatro mesas redondas interactivas de m\u00faltiples partes interesadas; un di\u00e1logo pol\u00edtico; y una sesi\u00f3n plenaria. Hubo una Declaraci\u00f3n de Progreso acordada intergubernamentalmente (<a href=\"https:\/\/view.officeapps.live.com\/op\/view.aspx?src=https%3A%2F%2Fjcor2030.org%2Fwp-content%2Fuploads%2F2022%2F05%2FIMRF_Progress_Declaration_REV4_9_May_2022_FINAL.docx&amp;wdOrigin=BROWSELINK\">ver Rev4<\/a>). Este documento es el resultado formal de la IMRF. Aunque no es legalmente vinculante para los Estados miembros de la ONU, su an\u00e1lisis del progreso y las deficiencias de la implementaci\u00f3n del PMM en los \u00faltimos cuatro a\u00f1os y sus acciones recomendadas sirven como base para la pol\u00edtica migratoria y la promoci\u00f3n desde el nivel global al local hasta el pr\u00f3ximo IMRF.<\/p><p>La sociedad civil de todo el mundo estaba bien organizada en la preparaci\u00f3n hacia la IMRF. Las consultas regionales y nacionales se llevaron a cabo en varios niveles. Antes de la IMRF, el 15 de mayo, representantes de la sociedad civil de todo el mundo se reunieron en Nueva York y en l\u00ednea para participar en la IMRF. <a href=\"https:\/\/csactioncommittee.org\/civil-society-preparatory-day\/\">D\u00eda preparatorio de la sociedad civil<\/a> (CSPD).<\/p><p>La CSPD ten\u00eda como objetivo permitir que los participantes de la sociedad civil de la IMRF estuvieran plena y adecuadamente preparados para participar en las discusiones de la IMRF de una manera cohesiva y organizada. Represent\u00f3 la culminaci\u00f3n de un proceso de un a\u00f1o de sesiones preparatorias de la sociedad civil, di\u00e1logos de promoci\u00f3n y consultas iniciado a mediados de 2021. La sesi\u00f3n matutina de la CPSD repas\u00f3 los cuatro a\u00f1os de implementaci\u00f3n del GCM desde su adopci\u00f3n en 2018.
