Este a\u00f1o, para celebrar el d\u00e9cimo aniversario de ese d\u00eda, la Cumbre anual IDG Girls SpeakOut se celebr\u00f3 en un formato h\u00edbrido con el tema &#039;Mind the Gap-Girls Rights Now!&#039;<\/p><p>Mientras el evento profundizaba en las brechas que a\u00fan existen en la plena realizaci\u00f3n de los derechos de las ni\u00f1as, ni\u00f1as activistas de todo el mundo compartieron sus experiencias en una discusi\u00f3n sincera con representantes de la ONU. El debate se llev\u00f3 a cabo en tres segmentos sobre el acceso a la educaci\u00f3n, la supervivencia y la protecci\u00f3n contra la violencia, y las ni\u00f1as como agentes de cambio, todos destacados en el marco establecido en la Convenci\u00f3n de las Naciones Unidas sobre los Derechos del Ni\u00f1o de 1989 y la Declaraci\u00f3n y Plataforma de Beijing para Acci\u00f3n desde 1995.<\/p><p>Kashvi Agarwal, una defensora de las ni\u00f1as de la India que representa a la ONG de la ONU IBVM, fue una de las moderadoras de Girls Speak Out de este a\u00f1o. El evento fue organizado por el Grupo de Trabajo sobre Ni\u00f1as y ONU Mujeres, y copatrocinado por las Misiones Permanentes de Canad\u00e1, Per\u00fa y Turqu\u00eda ante las Naciones Unidas.<\/p><p>En Girls SpeakOut, las defensoras de las ni\u00f1as ocuparon un lugar central mientras contaban sus historias y defend\u00edan su activismo, y las representantes de la ONU abrazaron su causa y se unieron a su llamado por la igualdad. La discusi\u00f3n fue dirigida por ni\u00f1as que formularon preguntas imperativas sobre la rendici\u00f3n de cuentas ante los compromisos existentes, la implementaci\u00f3n de pol\u00edticas para proteger a las ni\u00f1as de la violencia y la discriminaci\u00f3n, y la accesibilidad a recursos y refugios seguros.<\/p><p>Sra.
