Lorsque le gouvernement canadien \u00e9value ses progr\u00e8s par rapport aux objectifs de d\u00e9veloppement durable, les d\u00e9cideurs politiques doivent entendre ceux qui sont sur le terrain.<\/em><\/h6>

Cette conviction est issue d'une r\u00e9union en janvier 2023 entre le personnel du Mary Ward Centre de Toronto et des coll\u00e8gues des minist\u00e8res de justice sociale des S\u0153urs de Saint-Joseph de Toronto et de la F\u00e9d\u00e9ration canadienne des S\u0153urs de Saint-Joseph. Conscients que le gouvernement canadien pr\u00e9parait un examen national volontaire (ENV) de ses progr\u00e8s dans la r\u00e9alisation des objectifs de d\u00e9veloppement durable (ODD), nous avons d\u00e9cid\u00e9 d'\u00e9laborer en collaboration un rapport de la soci\u00e9t\u00e9 civile r\u00e9actif. Personne n\u2019est laiss\u00e9 pour compte ? Une analyse intersectionnelle du Programme 2030 au Canada<\/em> met en lumi\u00e8re les voix des jeunes \u00e2g\u00e9s de 15 \u00e0 19 ans et des travailleurs migrants au Canada, et examine l'impact de la pand\u00e9mie de COVID-19 et les efforts de relance sur la r\u00e9alisation des ODD.<\/p>

Apr\u00e8s un processus de r\u00e9daction de 5 mois, nous avons pr\u00e9sent\u00e9 notre rapport au Forum politique de haut niveau (HLPF) pour le partager avec les responsables gouvernementaux. Notre d\u00e9l\u00e9gation, parrain\u00e9e par le bureau de l'IBVM\/CJ \u00e0 l'ONU, comprenait Varka Kalaydzhieva (S\u0153urs de Saint-Joseph de Toronto), Srs. Sue Wilson et Joan Atkinson (F\u00e9d\u00e9ration canadienne des S\u0153urs de Saint-Joseph), repr\u00e9sentante des jeunes, Brantella Williams, repr\u00e9sentante des travailleurs migrants, Gabriel Allahdua et moi-m\u00eame. Le bureau de l'ONUNG a coordonn\u00e9 une r\u00e9union avec la mission permanente du Canada afin que nous puissions partager les conclusions de notre rapport et discuter des prochaines \u00e9tapes de nos recommandations. Nous avons \u00e9galement assist\u00e9 \u00e0 une r\u00e9ception offerte par la mission canadienne \u00e0 la veille de la pr\u00e9sentation du VNR canadien et rencontr\u00e9 le repr\u00e9sentant de la mission permanente du Canada, l'ambassadeur Bob Rae, ainsi que d'autres membres de la d\u00e9l\u00e9gation officielle.<\/p>

Bien que la pr\u00e9sentation de l'ENV du Canada ait finalement \u00e9t\u00e9 d\u00e9cevante, se concentrant sur des r\u00e9alisations s\u00e9lectives et omettant un contenu substantiel sur les lacunes restantes, les relations d\u00e9velopp\u00e9es gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 ce processus, tant avec les repr\u00e9sentants du gouvernement qu'avec les organisations de la soci\u00e9t\u00e9 civile, m\u00e8neront, esp\u00e9rons-le, \u00e0 de meilleurs r\u00e9sultats \u00e0 l'avenir. D\u00e9j\u00e0, de retour au Canada, notre groupe de collaboration a rencontr\u00e9 des responsables f\u00e9d\u00e9raux responsables de la coordination des ODD et nous pr\u00e9voyons de poursuivre le plaidoyer et d'am\u00e9liorer l'engagement de la soci\u00e9t\u00e9 civile, du gouvernement et d'autres partenaires.<\/p>

Mes efforts de plaidoyer au Canada ont \u00e9t\u00e9 enrichis par la collaboration de notre d\u00e9l\u00e9gation CJ\/IBVM. Pendant que je contactais le gouvernement canadien, Fionnuala Lynch IBVM et Giovanna Muha CJ ont contact\u00e9 respectivement l'Irlande et la Roumanie. Nous avons partag\u00e9 des conseils sur la mani\u00e8re de rencontrer les responsables et appris de nos pr\u00e9sentations VNR respectives, la Roumanie et l'Irlande ouvrant la voie en impliquant les enfants et les jeunes dans leurs rapports.<\/p>

Mon exp\u00e9rience globale au HLPF a \u00e9t\u00e9 de faire partie d'une \u00e9quipe qui a travaill\u00e9 ensemble avec joie pour tenir les gouvernements responsables de leurs engagements en mati\u00e8re d'ODD, le faisant gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 notre charisme commun de Mary Ward. Travailler ensemble au HLPF a consolid\u00e9 notre d\u00e9termination \u00e0 continuer de partager les enseignements du plaidoyer en faveur des ODD avec nos coll\u00e8gues repr\u00e9sentants de l'ONU du CJ\/IBVM, et \u00e0 former un sous-comit\u00e9 qui poussera les efforts sur les ODD pour garantir que nous ne laissons vraiment personne de c\u00f4t\u00e9 dans notre chemin vers 2030.<\/p>
