Le Parlement des religions du monde 2023 s'est tenu du 14 au 18 ao\u00fbt 2023 et est retourn\u00e9 dans son lieu de naissance \u00e0 Chicago, dans l'Illinois. Il s'agit du premier rassemblement interconfessionnel au monde d'acteurs du changement civique, spirituel et local. Le th\u00e8me de cette ann\u00e9e \u00e9tait \u00ab\u00a0Un appel \u00e0 la conscience\u00a0: d\u00e9fendre la libert\u00e9 et les droits de l'homme.\u00a0&#8221\u00a0;<\/p>

Plus de 7 000 personnes de 95 pays et 210 traditions ont assist\u00e9 \u00e0 l'\u00e9v\u00e9nement. Douze membres de la famille Mary Ward des \u00c9tats-Unis, du Canada, d'Espagne, d'Australie et d'Espagne y ont particip\u00e9. C'\u00e9tait un groupe v\u00e9ritablement interg\u00e9n\u00e9rationnel qui comprenait des IBVM, des CJ, des coll\u00e8gues et deux jeunes. Le groupe a partag\u00e9 les \u00e9v\u00e9nements auxquels ils souhaitaient assister et a partag\u00e9 les informations qu'ils en ont tir\u00e9es. Avec des centaines de programmes parmi lesquels choisir, ce n\u2019\u00e9tait pas une t\u00e2che facile car ils semblaient tous tr\u00e8s int\u00e9ressants.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>

En collaboration avec le Mary Ward Centre, Canada, nous avons soumis et avons \u00e9t\u00e9 accept\u00e9s pour h\u00e9berger un programme &#8211\u00a0; Des conversations qui comptent\u00a0: un mod\u00e8le de dialogue interg\u00e9n\u00e9rationnel men\u00e9 par les jeunes sur les droits et la libert\u00e9<\/em>. Anim\u00e9s par trois jeunes de confessions diverses, ils ont guid\u00e9 les participants d'\u00e2ges vari\u00e9s dans trois cercles de conversation sur les th\u00e8mes de l'environnement, de la d\u00e9mocratie et de la sant\u00e9 mentale. Les conversations ont \u00e9t\u00e9 enrichissantes et diversifi\u00e9es avec le retour des cercles en groupe complet et le partage de leurs principaux points cl\u00e9s. La plupart des gens ont d\u00e9clar\u00e9 qu\u2019ils appr\u00e9ciaient l\u2019opportunit\u00e9 de dialoguer avec des personnes d\u2019origines et d\u2019\u00e2ges divers.\u00a0<\/p>

Un certain nombre d'orateurs principaux de confessions diverses, dont l'archev\u00eaque de Chicago, le cardinal Blase J. Cupich et Marianne Williamson, deux des nombreux orateurs principaux, ont abord\u00e9 la question de la conscience lors d'une des s\u00e9ances pl\u00e9ni\u00e8res. Le secr\u00e9taire g\u00e9n\u00e9ral de l'ONU, Antonio Guterres, le Dr Jane Goodall et d'autres ont envoy\u00e9 des messages vid\u00e9o. Le r\u00e9v\u00e9rend Jesse Jackson a re\u00e7u une reconnaissance pour l'ensemble de sa carri\u00e8re de la part du Parlement des religions du monde pour ses bonnes \u0153uvres et sa d\u00e9fense des droits de l'homme.\u00a0<\/p>

Ce furent cinq jours bien remplis pour nous tous et pourtant nous \u00e9tions dynamis\u00e9s par notre exp\u00e9rience.
