La pauvret\u00e9 est consid\u00e9r\u00e9e comme un ph\u00e9nom\u00e8ne sexosp\u00e9cifique \u00e0 visage f\u00e9minin, car les femmes tombent d&#039;abord dans la pauvret\u00e9, s&#039;enfoncent plus profond\u00e9ment et s&#039;en remettent en dernier. Il existe un cercle vicieux de pauvret\u00e9 entre g\u00e9n\u00e9rations parmi les femmes de tous \u00e2ges, sympt\u00f4me d\u2019une injustice syst\u00e9matique exacerb\u00e9e par les d\u00e9savantages li\u00e9s \u00e0 la race, \u00e0 l\u2019origine ethnique, \u00e0 la situation g\u00e9ographique et aux croyances religieuses qui affectent les femmes mentalement et physiquement. Les statistiques montrent le co\u00fbt pour la soci\u00e9t\u00e9 de l\u2019inaction face aux probl\u00e8mes des adolescentes et des femmes. L\u2019\u00e9ducation est toujours reconnue comme le moyen le plus puissant d\u2019\u00e9galisation et de transformation des relations de pouvoir. L&#039;\u00e9ducation des femmes peut avoir un impact \u00e9conomique \u00e9norme sur la soci\u00e9t\u00e9, sur le plan financier et sur la sant\u00e9 des g\u00e9n\u00e9rations futures &#8230; \u00ab Ce que deviennent les gens plus tard dans la vie d\u00e9pend de ce qui se passe plus t\u00f4t \u00bb, a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 le Secr\u00e9taire G\u00e9n\u00e9ral.<\/p><p>Nous avons entendu dire que \u00ab r\u00e9duire l&#039;\u00e9cart de pauvret\u00e9 \u00bb n\u00e9cessite de s&#039;attaquer \u00e0 la \u00ab pauvret\u00e9 des personnes \u00e2g\u00e9es \u00bb, \u00e0 la configuration complexe et en constante \u00e9volution des \u00ab femmes adultes qui dispensent des soins \u00bb, au pi\u00e8ge de la \u00ab m\u00e8re c\u00e9libataire \u00bb, aux femmes handicap\u00e9es mentalement et physiquement, aux femmes vivant dans des relations abusives. les femmes incarc\u00e9r\u00e9es, ainsi que les femmes et les filles victimes de trafiquants d\u2019\u00eatres humains.<\/p><p>Les repr\u00e9sentants des pays ont indiqu\u00e9 que les changements n\u00e9cessaires pour transformer radicalement les familles, les communaut\u00e9s et les pays sont d\u00e9j\u00e0 en cours. L&#039;attention est port\u00e9e \u00e0 l&#039;institutionnalisation de l&#039;\u00e9galit\u00e9 des sexes dans des \u00ab parlements sensibles au genre \u00bb afin d&#039;inclure les femmes dans la prise de d\u00e9cision lors de l&#039;\u00e9laboration des politiques et des proc\u00e9dures. Ils ont pr\u00e9conis\u00e9 une budg\u00e9tisation \u00e0 travers une \u00ab lentille sensible au genre \u00bb et la conception de mod\u00e8les \u00e9conomiques qui tiennent compte du genre.<\/p><p>Il \u00e9tait tout aussi important de reconna\u00eetre la n\u00e9cessit\u00e9 de concevoir des m\u00e9canismes pour garantir l\u2019application des lois, d\u2019\u00e9tablir des \u00ab marqueurs \u00bb permettant de mesurer les progr\u00e8s en identifiant les r\u00e9ussites, les \u00e9checs et les lacunes, et de concevoir des programmes visant \u00e0 changer les mentalit\u00e9s et les normes sociales.<\/p><p>Le Saint-Si\u00e8ge a parrain\u00e9 un puissant atelier sur l&#039;impact de la traite des \u00eatres humains sur les femmes et les filles. Mgr Gabriele Caccia, Observateur permanent du Saint-Si\u00e8ge, a parl\u00e9 avec passion de l&#039;appel du pape Fran\u00e7ois \u00ab \u00e0 \u00e9couter, voir et s&#039;\u00e9mouvoir pour agir \u00bb. Il a d\u00e9nonc\u00e9 le fait que les femmes et les filles sont consid\u00e9r\u00e9es comme des objets \u00e0 utiliser et \u00e0 jeter et a \u00e9voqu\u00e9 la traite comme \u00ab l&#039;assujettissement des uns pour l&#039;enrichissement des autres \u00bb. Tous les pr\u00e9sentateurs \u00e9taient excellents. Des organisations telles que le groupe Santa Marta, ARISE, Talitha Kum, le r\u00e9seau int\u00e9gr\u00e9 Scalabrini et le service national de police irlandais ont partag\u00e9 les meilleures pratiques et les enseignements tir\u00e9s. Un \u00e9minent repr\u00e9sentant d&#039;un cabinet d&#039;avocats am\u00e9ricain a parl\u00e9 des efforts visant \u00e0 perturber les syst\u00e8mes, \u00e0 confisquer les profits, \u00e0 fournir protection, accompagnement et soutien aux victimes et, surtout, \u00e0 travailler avec la soci\u00e9t\u00e9 pour reconna\u00eetre et signaler les signes de cette forme d&#039;esclavage moderne.<\/p><p>Il \u00e9tait r\u00e9confortant de voir l\u2019\u00c9glise catholique assumer un leadership moral sur une question li\u00e9e aux femmes.<\/p><p>Cette fa\u00e7on de c\u00e9l\u00e9brer le 20<sup>e<\/sup> L&#039;anniversaire d&#039;IBVM \u00e0 l&#039;ONU a \u00e9t\u00e9 merveilleux pour moi.
