La Commission de la condition de la femme (CSW) est le plus grand rassemblement annuel de l'ONU sur l'\u00e9galit\u00e9 des sexes et l'autonomisation des femmes. Il rassemble des responsables gouvernementaux, des organisations de la soci\u00e9t\u00e9 civile, des experts et des militants du monde entier. L'objectif, si je comprends bien, est d'\u00e9valuer les progr\u00e8s r\u00e9alis\u00e9s vers la r\u00e9alisation de l'\u00e9galit\u00e9 des sexes depuis la derni\u00e8re conf\u00e9rence. Ils discutent des succ\u00e8s, des revers et des d\u00e9fis persistants, fournissant des informations pr\u00e9cieuses sur ce qui fonctionne et ce qui doit \u00eatre am\u00e9lior\u00e9.<\/p>

Des milliers d\u2019\u00e9v\u00e9nements parall\u00e8les ont eu lieu au sein et autour de l\u2019ONU. J'ai acquis des connaissances inestimables sur les diverses exp\u00e9riences et perspectives des femmes et des filles du monde entier. Qu'il s'agisse d'entendre des t\u00e9moignages de premi\u00e8re main sur les d\u00e9fis rencontr\u00e9s par les femmes dans les zones touch\u00e9es par les conflits ou de d\u00e9couvrir des solutions innovantes d\u00e9velopp\u00e9es par des organisations de base. J\u2019ai acquis une compr\u00e9hension plus approfondie de la nature intersectionnelle de l\u2019in\u00e9galit\u00e9 entre les sexes et de l\u2019importance de s\u2019attaquer \u00e0 ses causes profondes. J'ai pu sentir l'int\u00e9r\u00eat de chaque personne pr\u00e9sente \u00e0 l'\u00e9v\u00e9nement pour s'engager, prendre conscience, apprendre, nouer des contacts. Je me suis senti dynamis\u00e9 en voyant l'implication des jeunes, en particulier l'effort de collaboration du Groupe de travail sur les filles, permettant \u00e0 la voix des filles d'\u00eatre entendue \u00e0 l'ONU.<\/p>

J'ai eu l'occasion d'assister et de participer \u00e0 des conversations significatives avec le Repr\u00e9sentant permanent du N\u00e9pal aupr\u00e8s de l'ONU, SEM Lok Bahadur Thapa, et son adjoint, M. Kaushal Kishore Ray, ainsi qu'avec les repr\u00e9sentants d'ONG lors de 4 \u00e9v\u00e9nements parall\u00e8les o\u00f9 le N\u00e9pal \u00e9tait soit dans le panel ou le sponsor de l'\u00e9v\u00e9nement. Lors de notre discussion ouverte avec l'\u00e9quipe, il est devenu imp\u00e9ratif de travailler en collaboration avec toutes les soci\u00e9t\u00e9s civiles. Les agences des Nations Unies aident ensuite le gouvernement local \u00e0 \u00e9laborer des politiques efficaces, \u00e0 r\u00e9former les politiques existantes, \u00e0 allouer le budget n\u00e9cessaire, \u00e0 mettre en \u0153uvre les politiques et \u00e9valuer les progr\u00e8s au niveau local.<\/p>

Je me souviens de la conversation que j'ai eue avec Deborah Akech Kuocnin, une repr\u00e9sentante de la jeunesse du gouvernement du Soudan du Sud, lors du cercle de conversation des jeunes. Prendre soin des besoins et des droits des citoyens est avant tout le devoir du gouvernement du pays. Lorsque les gens ne sont pas pris en charge par le gouvernement du pays, les citoyens en prennent note et s'adressent au gouvernement pour exiger le respect de leurs droits.<\/p>

C\u2019est la CULTURE DU PLAIDOYER que tous les collaborateurs de la soci\u00e9t\u00e9 civile doivent prendre en compte. Chaque fois que de nouveaux besoins importants apparaissent pour le peuple, nous devrons nous adresser au gouvernement au nom du peuple pour trouver une solution, pour de meilleures politiques, lois et programmes. L\u2019ironie est que la plupart d\u2019entre nous souhaitent fonctionner parall\u00e8lement au gouvernement. Je suis convaincu que le monde dispose d\u00e9sormais de suffisamment de politiques ; ce dont nous avons besoin, c\u2019est d\u2019une mise en \u0153uvre collaborative.<\/p>

Ce que je retiens principalement, c'est le souvenir d'avoir \u00e9t\u00e9 dans cet espace sacr\u00e9, d'avoir vu des milliers de personnes, 193 \u00c9tats membres, faire \u00e9cho \u00e0 leurs voix dans cette \u00e8re de l'information, en toute libert\u00e9. Tout le monde souhaite la paix et parle de sagesse. J'ai eu la chance de c\u00f4toyer de nombreuses personnes diverses. Les femmes de l'univers continueront de s'\u00e9lever en \u00e9levant la cr\u00e9ation.<\/p>
