Nous avons accueilli neuf membres de notre r\u00e9seau d'Australie, du Canada, d'Inde, du N\u00e9pal et d'Espagne \u00e0 la 68e session de la Commission de la condition de la femme. Dans le cadre de notre 20e anniversaire, nous avons invit\u00e9 nos anciens repr\u00e9sentants d'ONG des Nations Unies \u00e0 nous rejoindre lors de la CSW. Evanne Hunter ibvm, notre premi\u00e8re repr\u00e9sentante d'ONG et Cecilia O'Dwyer ibvm, qui a servi le plus longtemps, ont pu venir diriger nos d\u00e9l\u00e9gu\u00e9s. Les autres d\u00e9l\u00e9gu\u00e9s \u00e9taient Mary Eileen Donovan du Canada, actuelle pr\u00e9sidente du Comit\u00e9 consultatif de l'ONUG ; Wendy Ip du Canada\u00a0; Daisy Kozhikkadan cj d'Inde, Marta Santos d'Espagne, repr\u00e9sentante provinciale de l'ONU avec Lauren Grant d'Australie, repr\u00e9sentante de la jeunesse et Smitha Muthu cj du N\u00e9pal qui sont avec le bureau de l'ONUNG depuis f\u00e9vrier pour une exp\u00e9rience d'immersion.<\/p>

Nous nous sommes rencontr\u00e9s le dimanche pr\u00e9c\u00e9dant la conf\u00e9rence et avons eu une s\u00e9ance d'orientation tout en partageant un repas. Les d\u00e9l\u00e9gu\u00e9s se pr\u00e9parent depuis plus d'un mois, guid\u00e9s par Cecilia. Pour la plupart de nos d\u00e9l\u00e9gu\u00e9s, c'\u00e9tait la premi\u00e8re fois qu'ils assistaient \u00e0 une conf\u00e9rence des Nations Unies ou \u00e0 la CSW. Leur premi\u00e8re exp\u00e9rience a \u00e9t\u00e9 de faire la queue pendant plus d'une heure pour obtenir leur laissez-passer CSW ONU qui leur permettra d'entrer au si\u00e8ge de l'ONU pour assister \u00e0 la session. Nous n'avons re\u00e7u qu'un seul laissez-passer, il a donc \u00e9t\u00e9 partag\u00e9 avec nos d\u00e9l\u00e9gu\u00e9s qui assistaient \u00e0 tour de r\u00f4le \u00e0 la s\u00e9ance d'ouverture. Chacun est ensuite all\u00e9 assister aux diff\u00e9rents briefings, sessions, \u00e9v\u00e9nements parall\u00e8les et parall\u00e8les en fonction de son int\u00e9r\u00eat. Les d\u00e9l\u00e9gu\u00e9s ont assist\u00e9 \u00e0 un concert de l'Orchestre Symphonique des Nations Unies (du Conseil des Loisirs du Personnel des Nations Unies) qui a interpr\u00e9t\u00e9 des pi\u00e8ces de concert compos\u00e9es par des femmes. Le concert fait partie de leur initiative \u00ab Global Women in Music \u00bb visant \u00e0 pr\u00e9senter des compositrices du monde entier. Comme ils l\u2019ont d\u00e9clar\u00e9, \u00ab seulement cinq pour cent de la musique de concert programm\u00e9e dans le monde est compos\u00e9e de femmes compositrices \u00bb. Ils \u00ab visent \u00e0 amener les compositrices et chefs d\u2019orchestre \u00e0 mettre en valeur leur musique et leur talent afin de sensibiliser, de motiver l\u2019engagement, l\u2019activisme et le changement vers une industrie musicale et un environnement social plus inclusifs \u00bb. C'\u00e9tait en effet un magnifique \u00e9ventail de musique et tout le monde a dit \u00e0 quel point ils avaient appr\u00e9ci\u00e9 le concert.<\/p>

Nous avons c\u00e9l\u00e9br\u00e9 l'anniversaire du bureau de l'ONUNG dans un restaurant italien de Manhattan. C'\u00e9tait merveilleux de voir l'IBVM et les CJ s'engager avec d'autres d\u00e9fenseurs des femmes et des filles et d\u00e9couvrir les probl\u00e8mes et la mani\u00e8re dont nous pouvons plaider ensemble pour les droits des femmes et des filles.<\/p>
