J\u2019ai eu la chance d\u2019emmener 5 \u00e9l\u00e8ves : Chantel, Keendi, Njeri, Clarice et Allison \u00e0 la Journ\u00e9e internationale de la fille au Bureau des Nations Unies. C\u2019\u00e9tait un \u00e9v\u00e9nement organis\u00e9 par le Comit\u00e9 national des femmes des Nations Unies. Nous avons \u00e9t\u00e9 chaleureusement accueillies par Mme Jackline et Mme Rita. Ce fut une b\u00e9n\u00e9diction de rencontrer plusieurs femmes courageuses dans la salle. J\u2019ai \u00e9t\u00e9 intrigu\u00e9e par le succ\u00e8s des projets qu\u2019elles avaient men\u00e9s jusqu\u2019\u00e0 pr\u00e9sent.<\/p><p>Les discours de Mme Anne Mutavati et de Mme Aijamal ont \u00e9t\u00e9 \u00e9poustouflants et ont permis de r\u00e9fl\u00e9chir aux petits efforts que nous pouvons d\u00e9ployer et faire en sorte qu\u2019ils fonctionnent en notre faveur. \u00c0 l\u2019occasion de cette Journ\u00e9e internationale de la fille, nous avons r\u00e9fl\u00e9chi aux progr\u00e8s significatifs et aux d\u00e9fis auxquels sont confront\u00e9es les filles et les femmes dans le monde entier. Malgr\u00e9 les progr\u00e8s, beaucoup d\u2019entre elles se heurtent encore \u00e0 des obstacles syst\u00e9miques, notamment un acc\u00e8s limit\u00e9 aux services bancaires et \u00e0 l\u2019ind\u00e9pendance financi\u00e8re, en particulier dans des pays comme le Kenya.<\/p><p>La lutte pour l\u2019\u00e9galit\u00e9 des sexes a \u00e9t\u00e9 aliment\u00e9e par des mouvements tels que G\u00e9n\u00e9ration \u00c9galit\u00e9, qui d\u00e9fend les droits des femmes et vise \u00e0 d\u00e9manteler les normes sociales de longue date qui perp\u00e9tuent les in\u00e9galit\u00e9s. L\u2019initiative souligne que l\u2019\u00e9galit\u00e9 des sexes n\u2019est pas un objectif lointain mais une n\u00e9cessit\u00e9 qui peut et doit \u00eatre atteinte au cours de notre g\u00e9n\u00e9ration.<\/p><p>Au Kenya, des efforts ont \u00e9t\u00e9 faits pour accro\u00eetre le leadership et la participation des femmes dans divers secteurs. Cependant, le dialogue s&#039;oriente souvent vers la situation critique des gar\u00e7ons et des hommes, ce qui peut \u00e9clipser l&#039;accent historique mis sur les filles. Au cours des 30 derni\u00e8res ann\u00e9es, les forums internationaux ont cherch\u00e9 \u00e0 rem\u00e9dier aux disparit\u00e9s en mati\u00e8re d&#039;\u00e9ducation auxquelles sont confront\u00e9es les filles. Il est d\u00e9sormais crucial de tirer parti de ces enseignements pour progresser \u00e0 l&#039;avenir.<\/p><p>Aujourd\u2019hui, les filles et les jeunes femmes ne sont pas seulement des b\u00e9n\u00e9ficiaires passives de l\u2019aide ; elles sont des leaders puissantes et des actrices du changement au sein de leurs communaut\u00e9s. Face \u00e0 des probl\u00e8mes tels que le changement climatique et la p\u00e9nurie de ressources, leur activisme est essentiel pour fa\u00e7onner un avenir durable. L\u2019intersectionnalit\u00e9 du genre avec les d\u00e9fis \u00e9conomiques et environnementaux doit \u00eatre reconnue, et les jeunes femmes doivent \u00eatre activement impliqu\u00e9es dans ces discussions.<\/p><p>L\u2019engagement en faveur de l\u2019\u00e9galit\u00e9 des sexes est plus fort que jamais, comme en t\u00e9moignent les collaborations entre divers secteurs, notamment la soci\u00e9t\u00e9 civile et les entreprises priv\u00e9es. Ces partenariats sont essentiels pour susciter des changements tangibles et garantir que la voix des femmes et des filles soit entendue.<\/p><p>En c\u00e9l\u00e9brant cette journ\u00e9e, nous avons r\u00e9affirm\u00e9 notre engagement \u00e0 cr\u00e9er un monde dans lequel chaque fille peut s\u2019\u00e9panouir, diriger et r\u00e9aliser son plein potentiel.
