Le th\u00e8me prioritaire est<em> \u00ab Transition socialement juste vers un d\u00e9veloppement durable : le r\u00f4le des technologies num\u00e9riques sur le d\u00e9veloppement social et le bien-\u00eatre de tous. \u00bb<\/em><\/p><p>Le rapport du Secr\u00e9taire g\u00e9n\u00e9ral aborde la n\u00e9cessit\u00e9 d&#039;un mouvement socialement juste vers un \u00ab d\u00e9veloppement inclusif, \u00e9quitable, r\u00e9silient et durable pour tous \u00bb dans le contexte des technologies num\u00e9riques. La COVID-19 a acc\u00e9l\u00e9r\u00e9 le rythme de la transformation num\u00e9rique, ce qui a apport\u00e9 toute une s\u00e9rie d\u2019avantages socio-\u00e9conomiques. La technologie num\u00e9rique a le potentiel d\u2019offrir de nouvelles opportunit\u00e9s pour atteindre trois des principaux objectifs de d\u00e9veloppement social : \u00e9radiquer la pauvret\u00e9, promouvoir le plein emploi productif et favoriser l\u2019inclusion sociale.<\/p><p>Cependant, l\u2019utilisation du num\u00e9rique pour parvenir au d\u00e9veloppement social pose le probl\u00e8me de la fracture num\u00e9rique. Seulement 53,6 pour cent de la population mondiale utilise Internet, ce qui laisse un peu moins de la moiti\u00e9 sans Internet.<\/p><p>En collaboration avec VIVAT International, nous avons soumis une d\u00e9claration \u00e9crite pour souligner les probl\u00e8mes rencontr\u00e9s par les \u00e9tudiants, les travailleurs et les propri\u00e9taires de petites entreprises ayant peu ou pas d&#039;acc\u00e8s num\u00e9rique pendant la pand\u00e9mie.
