Les femmes, les enfants et les migrants sont particuli\u00e8rement vuln\u00e9rables au recrutement et \u00e0 l\u2019exploitation.<\/span><\/p><p>Le th\u00e8me prioritaire de la 60e session de la Commission du d\u00e9veloppement social vise \u00e0 rem\u00e9dier \u00e0 la situation gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 une reprise plus inclusive et r\u00e9siliente apr\u00e8s le COVID-19 et \u00e0 l&#039;\u00e9radication de la pauvret\u00e9 et de la faim.<\/p><p>Nous avons organis\u00e9 un \u00e9v\u00e9nement parall\u00e8le sur la pauvret\u00e9, la faim et la traite des \u00eatres humains\u00a0; Interventions et bonnes pratiques des organisations confessionnelles.&#8221; Nos intervenants ont partag\u00e9 leur expertise et le travail de leur organisation pour mettre fin au travail forc\u00e9, \u00e0 l&#039;esclavage moderne et \u00e0 la traite des \u00eatres humains. Nous avons \u00e9t\u00e9 rejoints par plus de 79 membres de notre r\u00e9seau et coll\u00e8gues d&#039;ONG.<\/p><p>Le professeur Michel Veuthey, ambassadeur de l&#039;Ordre souverain de Malte charg\u00e9 de surveiller et de combattre la traite des personnes \u00e0 Gen\u00e8ve, a parl\u00e9 du r\u00f4le de l&#039;\u00c9tat ainsi que du travail et de la collaboration importants de la soci\u00e9t\u00e9 civile, en particulier des organisations confessionnelles.<\/p><p>S\u0153ur Imelda Poole IBVM, pr\u00e9sidente de RENATE a partag\u00e9 le travail de ce r\u00e9seau europ\u00e9en de religieux qui s&#039;engagent \u00e0 travailler ensemble contre la traite et l&#039;exploitation des \u00eatres humains. Elle a parl\u00e9 de leur travail en mati\u00e8re d&#039;\u00e9ducation et de plaidoyer, non seulement aupr\u00e8s de leurs membres mais aussi au sein de leurs communaut\u00e9s.<\/p><p>Nabanita Shome, coordinatrice du projet Red-light Sonagachi-Kolkata, Inde, a parl\u00e9 du travail du centre social Kolkata Mary Ward pour \u00e9duquer les jeunes et leur communaut\u00e9 locale \u00e0 la pr\u00e9vention de la traite des \u00eatres humains, en particulier parmi les jeunes.
