Le Bureau des ONG IBVM\/CJ, en collaboration avec VIVAT International, Sisters of Loretto et Mary Ward International Ireland, a organis\u00e9 un \u00e9v\u00e9nement parall\u00e8le au Forum politique de haut niveau le 13 juillet 2022. L'\u00e9v\u00e9nement \u00e9tait intitul\u00e9 : \u00c9ducation de qualit\u00e9 et \u00e9galit\u00e9 des genres : cl\u00e9s pour construire Avec impatience d\u2019atteindre les ODD pour souligner l\u2019importance de l\u2019ODD4 et de l\u2019ODD5.<\/p>

Nous avons eu l'honneur d'avoir Ambassadrice G\u00e9raldine Byrne Nason<\/a>, l'ambassadeur de la mission permanente de l'Irlande aupr\u00e8s de l'ONU, en tant que conf\u00e9rencier principal. Elle a \u00e9t\u00e9 rejointe par Sr. Orla Treacy IBVM<\/a> (R\u00e9alisateur de Loreto Rumbek), Le P. Benigno P. Beltran SVD<\/a> (PDG Sandiwaan Center for Learning &#8211\u00a0; SCL), Helena Rial Isaac<\/a> (Dipl\u00f4m\u00e9 de Loreto Rumbek) et Maria Ang\u00e9lique Salomon<\/a> (Dipl\u00f4m\u00e9 SCL). L'\u00e9v\u00e9nement a \u00e9t\u00e9 mod\u00e9r\u00e9 de mani\u00e8re experte par notre stagiaire jeunesse, Riya Bhargava.<\/p>

L'ambassadeur Byrne Nason a commenc\u00e9 par f\u00e9liciter S\u0153ur Orla et son \u00e9quipe pour le travail qu'ils accomplissaient pour \u00e9duquer les filles au Soudan du Sud. Elle nous a ensuite rappel\u00e9 que sept ans apr\u00e8s l'engagement des pays en faveur de l'ODD2030, nous ne sommes pas \u00e0 mi-chemin vers la r\u00e9alisation des ODD que nous avions esp\u00e9r\u00e9s. et que m\u00eame avant la pand\u00e9mie, nous prenions du retard. Malheureusement, \u00e0 l'\u00e9chelle mondiale, “les femmes, les jeunes et les enfants restent les plus vuln\u00e9rables.” Au milieu de la pand\u00e9mie, les mariages pr\u00e9coces et la violence sexiste ont augment\u00e9 et de nombreuses femmes, en particulier les m\u00e8res, ont quitt\u00e9 le march\u00e9 du travail.<\/p>

Mais elle a \u00e9galement parl\u00e9 d'espoir et a reconnu le travail accompli non seulement par les gouvernements, mais aussi par les nombreux acteurs “invisibles et souvent inentendus” des personnes engag\u00e9es, dont beaucoup \u00e9taient pr\u00e9sentes au webinaire, qui \u0153uvrent \u00e0 la r\u00e9alisation des ODD. L\u2019ODD2030 est notre plan pour transformer notre monde afin que personne ne soit laiss\u00e9 pour compte. L'ambassadeur Byrne Nason nous a encourag\u00e9s \u00e0 maintenir notre d\u00e9termination et notre dynamisme. 2030 est en vue et nos objectifs communs restent r\u00e9alisables.”<\/p>

S\u0153ur Orla a expliqu\u00e9 comment l'\u00e9ducation des filles \u00e9tait un nouveau concept au Soudan du Sud lorsque les s\u0153urs sont arriv\u00e9es et quelles mesures pratiques elles ont prises pour promouvoir l'\u00e9galit\u00e9 des sexes (ODD5) dans une \u00e9ducation de qualit\u00e9 (ODD4). Elle a d\u00e9montr\u00e9 \u00e0 quel point les ODD sont int\u00e9gr\u00e9s dans leurs pratiques pour soutenir l'\u00e9ducation des filles. L'\u00e9quipe Loreto Rumbek fait d\u00e9finitivement partie du groupe “invisible et inou\u00ef” des personnes engag\u00e9es \u00e9voqu\u00e9es par l\u2019Ambassadeur.<\/p>

Le P. Benigno a partag\u00e9 la nouvelle philosophie \u00e9ducative qui sous-tend le Sandiwaan Center for Learning pour atteindre les \u00e9tudiants les plus vuln\u00e9rables. Leur philosophie \u00ab\u00a0Apprendre \u00e0 penser, penser pour apprendre\u00a0\u00bb\u00a0&#8221\u00a0; propose une m\u00e9thode alternative d\u2019\u00e9ducation en ligne. Cette m\u00e9thode combine la pleine conscience avec les principes de la pens\u00e9e critique, des syst\u00e8mes et du design thinking qui enseignent aux apprenants comment devenir de meilleurs \u00eatres humains et les pr\u00e9parent \u00e0 ce monde complexe.<\/p>

Nous avons \u00e9galement entendu les dipl\u00f4m\u00e9es Hellena et Maria Angelica qui ont partag\u00e9 leurs histoires et l'impact de l'\u00e9ducation qu'elles ont re\u00e7ue dans les deux institutions. Ces deux jeunes femmes leaders ont d\u00e9montr\u00e9 \u00e0 quel point l\u2019\u00e9ducation des filles profite \u00e0 l\u2019ensemble de la communaut\u00e9 et est essentielle \u00e0 la r\u00e9alisation des ODD.<\/p>

Les intervenants nous ont appel\u00e9s \u00e0 r\u00e9fl\u00e9chir \u00e0 l\u2019intersection de tous les ODD, notamment l\u2019\u00e9galit\u00e9 des sexes et l\u2019acc\u00e8s \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9ducation. Ils nous ont donn\u00e9 de l\u2019espoir et nous ont fait comprendre qu\u2019ensemble, nous pouvons plaider et agir pour atteindre les ODD.<\/p>
