C&#039;\u00e9tait la premi\u00e8re fois depuis la pand\u00e9mie que le groupe, bas\u00e9 \u00e0 Gen\u00e8ve, revenait \u00e0 New York. Le fait que nous n&#039;\u00e9tions que six l\u00e0-bas, dont quatre membres de notre r\u00e9seau de Groupe de travail sur les filles (WGG), \u00e9tait r\u00e9v\u00e9lateur du manque d&#039;int\u00e9r\u00eat.<\/p><p>Ils voulaient rencontrer des OSC pour entrer en contact avec les OSC et nous informer du travail du groupe. La pr\u00e9sidente actuelle, Melissa Upreti, a soulign\u00e9 l&#039;importance de leur collaboration avec les OSC. Les soumissions et les informations provenant d\u2019organisations comme la n\u00f4tre sont essentielles pour d\u00e9noncer les violations des droits de l\u2019homme sur le terrain afin d\u2019y rem\u00e9dier. Il est \u00e9galement important que nous utilisions ces informations dans notre plaidoyer tout en promouvant les diff\u00e9rents rapports sur les droits de l&#039;homme qu&#039;ils ont publi\u00e9s.<\/p><p>La r\u00e9union a \u00e9galement \u00e9t\u00e9 l&#039;occasion de communiquer que leur dernier rapport annuel sur l&#039;activisme des filles et des jeunes femmes#8221; allait sortir en juin. Ils ont partag\u00e9 certaines de leurs principales conclusions, notamment que la plupart des filles&#8217; l&#039;activisme a commenc\u00e9 comme une r\u00e9ponse \u00e0 un besoin imm\u00e9diat qui se pr\u00e9sentait dans leur vie. Mais ils sont confront\u00e9s \u00e0 des d\u00e9fis particuliers en raison des id\u00e9es fausses de la soci\u00e9t\u00e9 sur leur droit \u00e0 participer \u00e0 la vie politique et publique, y compris \u00e0 la prise de d\u00e9cision, en raison de leur \u00e2ge.<\/p><p>Le rapport met l&#039;accent sur les contributions des filles&#8217; et l&#039;activisme des jeunes femmes &#8220;pour la promotion de l&#039;\u00e9galit\u00e9 des sexes et l&#039;avancement des droits de l&#039;homme et de son profond potentiel de transformation.&#8221; Ils tiennent \u00e9galement compte des obstacles structurels auxquels ils sont confront\u00e9s tout en promouvant les acquis et les meilleures pratiques existantes.
