O tema da 67\u00aa Comiss\u00e3o sobre o Estatuto da Mulher, realizada em Mar\u00e7o passado, foi sobre a possibilidade de inova\u00e7\u00e3o e mudan\u00e7a tecnol\u00f3gica, e a educa\u00e7\u00e3o na era digital para alcan\u00e7ar a igualdade de g\u00e9nero e o empoderamento de todas as mulheres e raparigas.<\/p><p>Com a ajuda das nossas estagi\u00e1rias Francesca Povey e Prateeksha Shukla, organizamos uma pesquisa online em nossa rede sobre sua experi\u00eancia no uso da tecnologia digital, as vantagens e desvantagens e o que gostariam de dizer aos l\u00edderes globais. Recebemos mais de 500 respostas da nossa rede e de outra ONG, a Global GLOW, que colaborou connosco.<\/p><p>Os entrevistados partilharam que usaram o poder das redes sociais para ter voz, aumentar a consci\u00eancia global, mobilizar a\u00e7\u00f5es e responsabilizar os governos pela abordagem dos direitos das mulheres e das raparigas. A pesquisa tamb\u00e9m mostrou a desigualdade em infraestrutura, acesso \u00e0 internet e educa\u00e7\u00e3o digital.\u00a0<\/p><p>Infelizmente, algumas meninas e mulheres tamb\u00e9m levantaram a quest\u00e3o da seguran\u00e7a em rela\u00e7\u00e3o \u00e0s redes sociais. Cerca de 17% dos entrevistados indicaram que eles ou algu\u00e9m que conheciam se depararam com cyberbullying, ass\u00e9dio sexual, mensagens n\u00e3o solicitadas e sexualmente expl\u00edcitas ou abusivas de estranhos. Eles relataram aumento na incid\u00eancia de crimes cibern\u00e9ticos, como fraude financeira, sites falsos de compras online e ass\u00e9dio por golpistas. Estas experi\u00eancias levaram alguns a restringir o uso das redes sociais para evitar mensagens n\u00e3o solicitadas. Estes coment\u00e1rios mis\u00f3ginos desencorajam as mulheres e raparigas de falar online sobre quest\u00f5es que as afectam.<\/p><p>As raparigas e as mulheres est\u00e3o a pedir os seus direitos AGORA, n\u00e3o no futuro. Apelamos aos Estados-membros da ONU para que:<br \/>\u2022 Cumprir os seus compromissos para alcan\u00e7ar os Objectivos de Desenvolvimento Sustent\u00e1vel para 2030, especialmente a educa\u00e7\u00e3o universal de qualidade e a igualdade de g\u00e9nero.<br \/>\u2022 Investir estrategicamente na educa\u00e7\u00e3o de qualidade, na literacia digital e na forma\u00e7\u00e3o para todos, incluindo mulheres e raparigas, pessoas com defici\u00eancia e povos ind\u00edgenas, para eliminar a exclus\u00e3o digital.
