A C\u00e2mara Municipal Global de Lideran\u00e7a de Meninas Adolescentes, que ocorreu virtualmente em 6 de julho de 2023, foi uma iniciativa liderada e organizada por l\u00edderes de meninas adolescentes em todo o mundo e apoiada pela ONU Mulheres, juntamente com organiza\u00e7\u00f5es lideradas e servindo por jovens e adolescentes, e outras ag\u00eancias da ONU. Fomos convidados para ser uma das organiza\u00e7\u00f5es e quatro de nossas Mary Ward Advocates estiveram envolvidas no planejamento e\/ou participaram do evento.<\/p>

Mahi Tripathi, uma das nossas jovens estagi\u00e1rias da \u00cdndia e Mbodze, uma Mary Ward Girl Advocate do Qu\u00e9nia, estiveram envolvidas no planeamento do F\u00f3rum Global para a Lideran\u00e7a de Meninas Adolescentes na C\u00e2mara Municipal. Eles estavam entre os jovens l\u00edderes que foram fundamentais na lideran\u00e7a do desenvolvimento das recomenda\u00e7\u00f5es que foram partilhadas com os principais decisores, incluindo representantes de alto n\u00edvel dos Estados-Membros, ag\u00eancias da ONU, entidades filantr\u00f3picas e organiza\u00e7\u00f5es da sociedade civil. Mbodze foi uma das adolescentes escolhidas para falar durante a C\u00e2mara Municipal e defender os direitos das meninas. Aqui est\u00e1 o que Mbodze disse:<\/p>

Hoje estou aqui para chamar a sua aten\u00e7\u00e3o para algumas quest\u00f5es relativas \u00e0s meninas adolescentes e recomenda\u00e7\u00f5es para abord\u00e1-las. Durante a minha vida, vi muitas vezes em que as meninas n\u00e3o tinham permiss\u00e3o para falar ou decidir por si mesmas. Os programas s\u00e3o desenvolvidos sem a sua contribui\u00e7\u00e3o. <\/em><\/p>

Apelamos \u00e0 cria\u00e7\u00e3o de espa\u00e7os onde as raparigas possam participar de forma significativa na cria\u00e7\u00e3o de pol\u00edticas, programa\u00e7\u00e3o e investiga\u00e7\u00e3o que afectam directamente as nossas vidas e comunidades. \u00c9 crucial proporcionar \u00e0s raparigas orienta\u00e7\u00e3o e forma\u00e7\u00e3o em advocacia para exigir os nossos direitos e responsabilizar os governos e as institui\u00e7\u00f5es. <\/em><\/p>

As meninas v\u00e3o se casar aos 16 anos. velho, sendo circuncidado porque \u00e9 cultura. Equipar-nos com compet\u00eancias e conhecimentos permite-nos advogar de forma eficaz. Qual a melhor forma de nos ajudar ajudando-nos a ajudar a n\u00f3s mesmos!<\/em><\/p>

D\u00f3i-me que uma menina da minha idade sofra de depress\u00e3o porque est\u00e1 presa em um ciclo e pensa que n\u00e3o h\u00e1 escapat\u00f3ria. Um amigo quase se casou aos 13 anos porque n\u00e3o tinha dinheiro para estudar. Ela fugiu. Ela n\u00e3o falou nada at\u00e9 que finalmente desabou e explicou como tudo continuava se repetindo em sua cabe\u00e7a. <\/em><\/p>

\u00c9 importante promover uma linguagem positiva e informada em torno da sa\u00fade mental. Os recursos, inclusive sobre autocuidado e bem-estar mental, devem estar dispon\u00edveis e acess\u00edveis aos adolescentes. Isto criar\u00e1 um ambiente de apoio, incentivando as raparigas a procurar ajuda e apoio quando necess\u00e1rio.<\/em><\/p>

Concluo instando as organiza\u00e7\u00f5es da sociedade civil a prestarem o apoio necess\u00e1rio e a proporcionarem oportunidades para que as adolescentes prosperem. Acredito que a implementa\u00e7\u00e3o destas recomenda\u00e7\u00f5es permitir-nos-\u00e1 moldar as nossas vidas e comunidades, exigir os nossos direitos, dar prioridade \u00e0 sa\u00fade mental e combater a viol\u00eancia baseada no g\u00e9nero. Apelo \u00e0 ac\u00e7\u00e3o colectiva para criar um futuro onde todas as raparigas possam atingir o seu pleno potencial.<\/em><\/p>
