O Parlamento das Religi\u00f5es Mundiais de 2023 foi realizado de 14 a 18 de agosto de 2023 e retornou ao seu local de nascimento em Chicago, Illinois. \u00c9 a principal reuni\u00e3o inter-religiosa do mundo de agentes de mudan\u00e7a c\u00edvicos, espirituais e de base. O tema deste ano foi “Um Chamado \u00e0 Consci\u00eancia: Defendendo a Liberdade e os Direitos Humanos.”<\/p>

Mais de 7.000 pessoas de 95 pa\u00edses e 210 tradi\u00e7\u00f5es participaram do evento. Participaram doze membros da fam\u00edlia Mary Ward dos EUA, Canad\u00e1, Espanha, Austr\u00e1lia e Espanha. Foi um grupo verdadeiramente intergeracional que incluiu IBVMs, CJs, colegas de trabalho e dois jovens. O grupo compartilhou os eventos nos quais eles estavam interessados em participar e compartilhou as informa\u00e7\u00f5es que obtiveram com eles. Com centenas de programas para escolher, n\u00e3o foi uma tarefa f\u00e1cil, pois todos pareciam muito interessantes.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>

Juntamente com o Mary Ward Centre, Canad\u00e1, nos inscrevemos e fomos aceitos para sediar um programa – Conversas que importam: um modelo de di\u00e1logo intergeracional liderado por jovens sobre direitos e liberdade<\/em>. Moderados por tr\u00eas jovens de diversas religi\u00f5es, eles orientaram os participantes de diversas idades em tr\u00eas rodas de conversa sobre os temas meio ambiente, democracia e sa\u00fade mental. As conversas foram enriquecedoras e diversificadas, com os c\u00edrculos retornando ao grupo completo e compartilhando seus pontos principais. A maioria das pessoas comentou que gostou da oportunidade de dialogar com pessoas de diversas origens e idades.\u00a0<\/p>

Houve v\u00e1rios oradores principais de diversas religi\u00f5es, incluindo o Arcebispo de Chicago, o Cardeal Blase J. Cupich e Marianne Williamson, dois dos v\u00e1rios oradores principais para abordar a quest\u00e3o da consci\u00eancia durante uma das plen\u00e1rias. O secret\u00e1rio-geral da ONU, Antonio Guterres, a Dra. Jane Goodall e outros enviaram mensagens de v\u00eddeo. Rev. Jesse Jackson, recebeu o reconhecimento pelo conjunto de sua obra do Parlamento das Religi\u00f5es do Mundo por suas boas obras e pela defesa dos direitos humanos.\u00a0<\/p>

Foram cinco dias muito cheios para todos n\u00f3s e ainda assim est\u00e1vamos energizados pela nossa experi\u00eancia.
