O tema priorit\u00e1rio CSocD62 \u00e9 “Promover o desenvolvimento social e a justi\u00e7a social atrav\u00e9s de pol\u00edticas sociais para acelerar o progresso na implementa\u00e7\u00e3o da Agenda 2030 para o Desenvolvimento Sustent\u00e1vel e alcan\u00e7ar o objectivo global de erradica\u00e7\u00e3o da pobreza.”<\/em>\u00a0Os Objectivos de Desenvolvimento Sustent\u00e1vel para 2030 d\u00e3o prioridade \u00e0 erradica\u00e7\u00e3o da pobreza, mas n\u00e3o estamos no bom caminho para o conseguir. O Relat\u00f3rio do Secret\u00e1rio-Geral de 2023 alerta que cerca de 575 milh\u00f5es de pessoas, incluindo 340 milh\u00f5es de mulheres e raparigas, poder\u00e3o ainda viver em pobreza extrema at\u00e9 2030. A pobreza \u00e9 uma quest\u00e3o de g\u00e9nero e de gera\u00e7\u00e3o, que afecta desproporcionalmente os jovens, com mais de 1,8 mil milh\u00f5es de jovens a n\u00edvel mundial enfrentando obst\u00e1culos apesar de ser a maior gera\u00e7\u00e3o.<\/p>

O impacto da pandemia de COVID-19 agravou os desafios econ\u00f3micos para os jovens, especialmente aqueles que pertencem a meios socioecon\u00f3micos mais desfavorecidos, com um em cada cinco a reportar perdas de emprego. Para resolver esta quest\u00e3o, a incorpora\u00e7\u00e3o de princ\u00edpios sociais, direitos humanos e igualdade de oportunidades nas pol\u00edticas governamentais \u00e9 crucial para alcan\u00e7ar os objetivos de 2030. O envolvimento activo dos jovens na tomada de decis\u00f5es \u00e9 essencial para o sucesso imediato e a longo prazo.<\/p>

Neste evento paralelo ouviremos as vozes de mulheres jovens e especialistas nas \u00e1reas de pequenas empresas, pol\u00edticas p\u00fablicas e academia, e aprenderemos com as suas experi\u00eancias no que se refere aos impactos interseccionais da pobreza. Eles tamb\u00e9m fornecer\u00e3o as suas recomenda\u00e7\u00f5es pol\u00edticas aos seus governos e l\u00edderes mundiais, especialmente pol\u00edticas que se baseiam nos princ\u00edpios da justi\u00e7a social.
