A Comiss\u00e3o sobre o Estatuto da Mulher (CSW) \u00e9 o maior encontro anual da ONU sobre igualdade de g\u00e9nero e empoderamento das mulheres. Re\u00fane Funcion\u00e1rios Governamentais, Organiza\u00e7\u00f5es da Sociedade Civil, Especialistas e Ativistas de todo o mundo. O objectivo, pelo que entendi, \u00e9 avaliar os progressos alcan\u00e7ados no sentido de alcan\u00e7ar a Igualdade de G\u00e9nero desde a \u00faltima confer\u00eancia. Eles discutem sucessos, retrocessos e desafios persistentes, fornecendo informa\u00e7\u00f5es valiosas sobre o que funciona e o que precisa ser melhorado.<\/p>

Houve milhares de eventos paralelos, ocorrendo dentro e ao redor da ONU. Ganhei insights inestim\u00e1veis sobre as diversas experi\u00eancias e perspectivas de mulheres e meninas em todo o mundo. Desde ouvir relatos em primeira m\u00e3o sobre os desafios enfrentados pelas mulheres em \u00e1reas afetadas por conflitos at\u00e9 aprender sobre solu\u00e7\u00f5es inovadoras desenvolvidas por organiza\u00e7\u00f5es de base. Adquiri uma compreens\u00e3o mais profunda da natureza interseccional da desigualdade de g\u00e9nero e da import\u00e2ncia de abordar as suas causas profundas. Pude sentir o interesse de cada pessoa presente no evento em se envolver, se conscientizar, aprender, construir contatos. Senti-me energizada ao ver o envolvimento dos jovens, especialmente o esfor\u00e7o colaborativo do Grupo de Trabalho sobre Raparigas, deixando a voz das raparigas ser ouvida na ONU.<\/p>

Tive a oportunidade de participar e participar de conversas significativas com o Representante Permanente do Nepal junto \u00e0 ONU, Sr. Lok Bahadur Thapa, e seu vice, Sr. Kaushal Kishore Ray, bem como com os representantes de ONGs em 4 eventos paralelos onde o Nepal foi ou no painel ou no patrocinador do evento. Na nossa discuss\u00e3o aberta com a equipa tornou-se um imperativo que precis\u00e1ssemos de trabalhar em colabora\u00e7\u00e3o com todas as sociedades civis, as ag\u00eancias da ONU apoiam ent\u00e3o o governo local para apresentar pol\u00edticas eficazes, trazer reformas nas pol\u00edticas existentes, alocar o or\u00e7amento necess\u00e1rio, implementar as pol\u00edticas e avaliar o progresso localmente.<\/p>

Lembro-me da conversa que tive com Deborah Akech Kuocnin, representante da juventude do Governo do Sud\u00e3o do Sul, durante a Roda de Conversa Juvenil. Cuidar das necessidades e dos direitos dos cidad\u00e3os \u00e9 principalmente dever do Governo do pa\u00eds. Quando as pessoas n\u00e3o s\u00e3o cuidadas pelo Governo da terra, os cidad\u00e3os tomam nota disso e abordam o Governo para exigir os seus direitos.<\/p>

Esta \u00e9 a CULTURA DE DEFESA DE DIREITOS que todos os colaboradores da Sociedade Civil precisam de considerar. Sempre que surgirem outras novas necessidades importantes para o povo, teremos de recorrer ao Governo em nome do povo para encontrar uma solu\u00e7\u00e3o, para melhores pol\u00edticas, leis e esquemas. A ironia \u00e9 que a maioria de n\u00f3s deseja trabalhar paralelamente ao governo. Estou confirmado que o mundo j\u00e1 tem pol\u00edticas suficientes, o que precisamos \u00e9 de implementa\u00e7\u00e3o colaborativa.<\/p>

A principal li\u00e7\u00e3o para mim \u00e9 a mem\u00f3ria de estar neste espa\u00e7o sagrado, testemunhando milhares de pessoas, 193 estados membros, ecoando as suas vozes nesta era da informa\u00e7\u00e3o, em total liberdade. Todos est\u00e3o desejando paz e falando sabedoria. Tive a sorte de interagir com muitas pessoas diversas. As mulheres do universo continuar\u00e3o a ascender elevando a cria\u00e7\u00e3o.<\/p>
