Ao me aproximar do final do meu est\u00e1gio na ONG IBVM\/CJ da ONU, reflito sobre seis meses extraordin\u00e1rios repletos de experi\u00eancias inestim\u00e1veis.<\/span><\/p>

Em janeiro, tive o privil\u00e9gio de participar virtualmente do nosso evento paralelo para a Comiss\u00e3o de Desenvolvimento Social (CSoCD). No final de fevereiro, fiz a transi\u00e7\u00e3o para uma fun\u00e7\u00e3o presencial em Nova York e participei de muitas sess\u00f5es do ECOSOC, incluindo a Comiss\u00e3o sobre a Situa\u00e7\u00e3o da Mulher (CSW), o F\u00f3rum Permanente sobre Quest\u00f5es Ind\u00edgenas (PFII), o F\u00f3rum de Financiamento para o Desenvolvimento (FfD), F\u00f3rum da Juventude ECOSOC e as Reuni\u00f5es de Primavera do FMI\/Banco Mundial. Em maio e junho, desenvolvi uma estrat\u00e9gia de envolvimento estudantil enquanto viajava pelos EUA para visitar parentes. Esta iniciativa visa educar os alunos da nossa rede sobre a ONU, os Objetivos de Desenvolvimento Sustent\u00e1vel (ODS), os direitos humanos e a defesa de direitos. Finalmente, retornei a Nova York no m\u00eas de julho para participar do F\u00f3rum Pol\u00edtico de Alto N\u00edvel (HLPF).\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

Ao longo do meu est\u00e1gio, as minhas responsabilidades envolveram principalmente participar em sess\u00f5es, resumir as principais conclus\u00f5es e partilhar ideias atrav\u00e9s das nossas atualiza\u00e7\u00f5es de not\u00edcias. Tamb\u00e9m gerenciei nossas plataformas de m\u00eddia social, criando conte\u00fado para informar nossa rede sobre os pr\u00f3ximos eventos e publicando atualiza\u00e7\u00f5es ao vivo das sess\u00f5es assistidas por nossos delegados. Notavelmente, durante o CSW e o HLPF, capturei as reflex\u00f5es dos nossos delegados atrav\u00e9s de pequenos v\u00eddeos publicados no Instagram, Facebook e YouTube.<\/span><\/p>

O meu envolvimento com o Grupo de Trabalho sobre Raparigas (WGG) foi particularmente significativo. Durante a CSW, gerenciei seu conte\u00fado de m\u00eddia social, destacando Girl Advocates que exigiam a inclus\u00e3o de meninas’ direitos nos resultados da ONU. Tive a oportunidade de conhecer muitas dessas meninas durante o fim de semana de orienta\u00e7\u00e3o da CSW, organizado pelo WGG, onde gravei as declara\u00e7\u00f5es orais da Girl Advocate. Al\u00e9m disso, escrevi os temas de conversa para o Kit de Ferramentas do C\u00edrculo de Conversa deste ano, com foco na Se\u00e7\u00e3o L da Declara\u00e7\u00e3o e Plataforma de A\u00e7\u00e3o de Pequim antes do seu 30\u00ba anivers\u00e1rio, destacando as cont\u00ednuas desigualdades de g\u00eanero.<\/span><\/p>

Estou especialmente orgulhoso das ferramentas de engajamento que desenvolvi para nossa rede local. Em particular, desenvolvi uma s\u00e9rie de webinars sobre igualdade de g\u00eanero. Esta iniciativa, desencadeada por discuss\u00f5es com a nossa delega\u00e7\u00e3o na CSW, desde ent\u00e3o facilitou webinars em nossas prov\u00edncias no Canad\u00e1, Espanha\/Peru, com sess\u00f5es futuras na Austr\u00e1lia e na \u00cdndia\/Nepal. Conforme mencionado, tamb\u00e9m elaborei uma estrat\u00e9gia de envolvimento dos alunos. Isto consiste em tr\u00eas li\u00e7\u00f5es, bem como um guia para implementar um clube estudantil da ONU e utilizar o Kit de Ferramentas do C\u00edrculo de Conversa\u00e7\u00e3o.<\/span><\/p>

Refletindo sobre o que aprendi em meu est\u00e1gio, adquiri uma compreens\u00e3o profunda dos sistemas da ONU, da integra\u00e7\u00e3o da sociedade civil e das complexidades da diplomacia global. Testemunhar em primeira m\u00e3o as discuss\u00f5es diplom\u00e1ticas, como as delibera\u00e7\u00f5es do Conselho de Seguran\u00e7a sobre o anivers\u00e1rio da invas\u00e3o russa, sublinhou o impacto do di\u00e1logo internacional no mundo real.<\/span><\/p>

Mais importante ainda, esta experi\u00eancia aprofundou as minhas compet\u00eancias de defesa de direitos. Durante o meu tempo na ONU, apliquei a defesa de direitos atrav\u00e9s da participa\u00e7\u00e3o em eventos paralelos, compromissos diplom\u00e1ticos, declara\u00e7\u00f5es escritas, grupos de jovens e divulga\u00e7\u00e3o nas redes sociais.<\/span><\/p>

Acredito que educar a nossa rede, e particularmente os nossos alunos, sobre os ODS \u00e9 crucial. Voc\u00ea pode assistir ao meu v\u00eddeo de defesa de direitos para saber mais sobre como podemos aplicar melhor os ODS \u00e0 nossa pr\u00f3pria vida, compreendendo, refletindo e nos envolvendo com os objetivos para impulsionar a mudan\u00e7a pol\u00edtica e abordar as desigualdades sist\u00eamicas.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

Em resumo, o meu tempo na ONU foi incrivelmente gratificante e estou muito grato pela oportunidade de trabalhar ao lado da Irm\u00e3 Janet em Nova Iorque. Foi um ponto alto o encontro com as Irm\u00e3s da IBVM\/CJ e colegas da Espanha, \u00cdndia, Nepal, Canad\u00e1 e Irlanda que vieram como delegadas da CSW e HLPF. Sinto-me privilegiado por ter trabalhado ao lado de uma comunidade t\u00e3o inspiradora e acolhedora.<\/span><\/p>
