Como vice-presidente do conselho estudantil do Loreto College, Kolkata, estou entre in\u00fameros jovens indianos com um desejo ardente de concretizar nosso potencial dentro de uma sociedade que apoia o crescimento equitativo e a inclus\u00e3o. Representar os interesses dos jovens por meio de projetos liderados por estudantes me deu uma profunda aprecia\u00e7\u00e3o pelo papel essencial que pol\u00edticas direcionadas e inclusivas desempenham no aproveitamento dos talentos e aspira\u00e7\u00f5es da minha gera\u00e7\u00e3o. O Pacto para o Futuro, especialmente as A\u00e7\u00f5es 34 e 35, incorpora esses ideais, instando a comunidade global a priorizar o empoderamento dos jovens por meio da prote\u00e7\u00e3o social, da equidade educacional e do avan\u00e7o dos direitos humanos para todos os jovens. Esses compromissos ecoam uma necessidade cr\u00edtica \u2014 garantir que cada jovem n\u00e3o receba apenas os meios para sonhar, mas tamb\u00e9m o apoio para prosperar em um pa\u00eds diversificado e din\u00e2mico como a \u00cdndia.<\/p>

A \u00cdndia abriga a maior popula\u00e7\u00e3o jovem do mundo, com quase metade de seus cidad\u00e3os com menos de 25 anos. Embora essa demografia ofere\u00e7a um potencial incompar\u00e1vel, os obst\u00e1culos sist\u00eamicos continuam assustadores. Apesar de uma economia em expans\u00e3o, quase 25% de jovens indianos continuam desempregados, com disparidades gritantes no acesso a recursos entre as divis\u00f5es urbanas e rurais. Em centros metropolitanos como Calcut\u00e1, essas barreiras sociais e econ\u00f4micas s\u00e3o agravadas pelo acesso limitado a educa\u00e7\u00e3o de qualidade, assist\u00eancia m\u00e9dica e recursos de sa\u00fade mental. Para os jovens aqui, as realidades geralmente est\u00e3o longe das vis\u00f5es de empoderamento delineadas nas agendas globais. Estima-se que 80% de jovens indianos n\u00e3o t\u00eam acesso a suporte estruturado de sa\u00fade mental, o que, juntamente com as press\u00f5es de restri\u00e7\u00f5es educacionais e econ\u00f4micas, agrava condi\u00e7\u00f5es como ansiedade e depress\u00e3o \u2014 particularmente em ambientes universit\u00e1rios.<\/p>

Como estudante de psicologia, estou profundamente ciente de qu\u00e3o interconectadas essas quest\u00f5es est\u00e3o. Tendo liderado iniciativas de sa\u00fade mental no campus, frequentemente encontrei alunos sobrecarregados pelas demandas de limita\u00e7\u00f5es socioecon\u00f4micas. A acessibilidade limitada ao aconselhamento, agravada pelo estigma persistente em torno da sa\u00fade mental, cria uma necessidade urgente de pol\u00edticas informadas e acion\u00e1veis no n\u00edvel de base. As a\u00e7\u00f5es 34 e 35 t\u00eam relev\u00e2ncia particular aqui, pois exigem investimentos em desenvolvimento hol\u00edstico que priorizem o bem-estar mental e f\u00edsico dos jovens, desde servi\u00e7os de sa\u00fade adequados at\u00e9 estruturas educacionais inclusivas. Em uma cidade como Calcut\u00e1, onde a modernidade e a tradi\u00e7\u00e3o se cruzam, essas a\u00e7\u00f5es oferecem uma vis\u00e3o para abordar as disparidades no apoio social, reconhecendo os jovens como benefici\u00e1rios e
agentes ativos de coes\u00e3o social e equidade.<\/p>

O que mais me entusiasma no Pact for the Future \u00e9 seu compromisso fundamentado em localizar promessas globais em a\u00e7\u00f5es realiz\u00e1veis, criando caminhos que s\u00e3o t\u00e3o tang\u00edveis quanto ambiciosos. Para promover a resili\u00eancia genu\u00edna na juventude de Calcut\u00e1, deve haver um ecossistema que promova educa\u00e7\u00e3o inclusiva, integre a conscientiza\u00e7\u00e3o sobre sa\u00fade mental nos curr\u00edculos acad\u00eamicos e defenda a prontid\u00e3o para o trabalho. Essas ambi\u00e7\u00f5es n\u00e3o s\u00e3o apenas te\u00f3ricas; elas s\u00e3o fundamentadas nas aspira\u00e7\u00f5es de estudantes como eu, que lutam por mudan\u00e7as. As A\u00e7\u00f5es 34 e 35 incorporam essa vis\u00e3o ao focar em estruturas pr\u00e1ticas e sustent\u00e1veis que capacitam os jovens em todos os n\u00edveis \u2014 fornecendo n\u00e3o apenas habilidades, mas tamb\u00e9m dignidade, ag\u00eancia e apoio para moldar ativamente nossos futuros.<\/p>

Portanto, a abordagem do Pacto reflete minha miss\u00e3o como l\u00edder estudantil e defensora da sa\u00fade mental. Sou inspirada por sua vis\u00e3o de jovens como l\u00edderes resilientes, indiv\u00edduos que s\u00e3o empoderados n\u00e3o apenas para sonhar, mas para agir. Na minha opini\u00e3o, as a\u00e7\u00f5es, se implementadas em sua realidade aut\u00eantica, provar\u00e3o ser um roteiro para um futuro em que ter\u00edamos a oportunidade n\u00e3o apenas de imaginar a mudan\u00e7a, mas de viv\u00ea-la.<\/p>
