Um, com a Miss\u00e3o da Santa S\u00e9 como principal patrocinador, chamou a aten\u00e7\u00e3o para o trabalho das religiosas na preven\u00e7\u00e3o do tr\u00e1fico de seres humanos e no resgate e capacita\u00e7\u00e3o dos sobreviventes. Outro evento com a ONG Comit\u00ea para Acabar com o Tr\u00e1fico de Pessoas teve como foco o uso da tecnologia. Embora a Internet seja utilizada das formas mais desprez\u00edveis para traficar raparigas e mulheres para o com\u00e9rcio sexual, est\u00e3o em curso enormes esfor\u00e7os para evitar que isso aconte\u00e7a e para abordar outros aspectos do tr\u00e1fico de seres humanos. \u00a0\u00a0<\/p><p>Co-patrocinamos um evento sobre Mulheres Rurais como Agentes de Mudan\u00e7a com hist\u00f3rias de empoderamento da \u00cdndia e do Sudeste Asi\u00e1tico. Irm\u00e3 Cynthia CJ foi uma das palestrantes.
