As pessoas est\u00e3o no centro da Agenda 2030 e esta \u00e9 uma grande vit\u00f3ria. Mas precisamos de encontrar formas de capacitar um n\u00famero crescente de pessoas para contribuir para estes objectivos, cada uma de acordo com as suas circunst\u00e2ncias espec\u00edficas.<\/p><p>A identifica\u00e7\u00e3o como cidad\u00e3o global come\u00e7a com o reconhecimento da unidade da fam\u00edlia humana, da nossa interliga\u00e7\u00e3o uns com os outros como indiv\u00edduos e na\u00e7\u00f5es, e da nossa responsabilidade para com uma rela\u00e7\u00e3o sustent\u00e1vel com a Terra. Um Cidad\u00e3o Global luta pela concretiza\u00e7\u00e3o da igualdade entre todos os povos, independentemente de qualquer categoriza\u00e7\u00e3o superficial, como g\u00e9nero, ra\u00e7a, etnia ou identidade nacional ou religiosa. A educa\u00e7\u00e3o para a cidadania global promove a honra e a dignidade humanas, a coopera\u00e7\u00e3o, a fiabilidade, a compaix\u00e3o e o desejo de servir os outros. A capacidade humana \u00e9 definida n\u00e3o apenas pelo potencial de algu\u00e9m para atingir metas, mas tamb\u00e9m pela determina\u00e7\u00e3o de algu\u00e9m em tomar as a\u00e7\u00f5es necess\u00e1rias.<\/p><p style=\"text-align: justify;\">A capacidade de ler a realidade social e de agir eficazmente exige uma educa\u00e7\u00e3o que nos dote de atitudes, conhecimentos e compet\u00eancias adequadas; tais como capacidades que apoiam a justi\u00e7a social e econ\u00f3mica, tanto dentro como entre as na\u00e7\u00f5es, e a tomada de decis\u00f5es n\u00e3o-contradit\u00f3rias em todos os n\u00edveis da sociedade. A educa\u00e7\u00e3o, formal, n\u00e3o formal e informal, que promova a compreens\u00e3o dos nossos pap\u00e9is e responsabilidades, ser\u00e1 necess\u00e1ria desde a mais tenra idade, ao longo da nossa vida.<\/p><p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Para inspirar as pessoas em todo o mundo a defender o desenvolvimento social, \u00e9 necess\u00e1rio promover entusiasticamente uma compreens\u00e3o profunda da cidadania global atrav\u00e9s de programas educativos em todo o mundo. Por isso, fazemos hoje 3 recomenda\u00e7\u00f5es:<\/p><ul style=\"text-align: justify;\"><li>Que o sistema das Na\u00e7\u00f5es Unidas exorte os Estados Membros a promoverem a educa\u00e7\u00e3o para a Cidadania Global em todos os n\u00edveis e fases da vida da popula\u00e7\u00e3o<\/li><li>Que os governos apoiem os esfor\u00e7os j\u00e1 em curso e garantam a coopera\u00e7\u00e3o dos sistemas educativos internacionais, da sociedade civil e dos sistemas sociais<\/li><li>Que a Sociedade Civil e todas as partes interessadas incluam a Cidadania Global nas suas iniciativas educativas e sociais<\/li><\/ul><p style=\"text-align: justify;\">A promo\u00e7\u00e3o da cidadania global \u00e9 uma estrat\u00e9gia pr\u00e1tica para promover a implementa\u00e7\u00e3o universal dos objectivos de desenvolvimento sustent\u00e1vel.
