Este ano foi em 26 de setembro. O tema foi &#8220;Rumo a um &#8220;N\u00d3S cada vez mais amplo.&#8221;<\/p><p>Somos chamados a recordar as muitas pessoas vulner\u00e1veis que s\u00e3o for\u00e7adas a fugir das suas casas em busca de um futuro mais seguro. Somos chamados a abrir o cora\u00e7\u00e3o, a ser acolhedores, inclusivos, a aceitar os &#8220;outros&#8221; e celebrando nossa diversidade.<\/p><p>Christa Parra IBVM vive e trabalha atualmente com migrantes na fronteira de El Paso, EUA, e Juarez, M\u00e9xico. Trabalha em colabora\u00e7\u00e3o com outras Irm\u00e3s de diversas Congrega\u00e7\u00f5es Religiosas e volunt\u00e1rias. Ela foi visitada por Judy Illig IBVM e Mary Carton IBVM.<\/p><p>Mary Carton disse que a visita &#8220;<em>foi uma visita pastoral a Christa \u2013 para v\u00ea-la em sua casa e locais de trabalho, para conhecer as pessoas importantes para ela e aqueles que lhe d\u00e3o a vida, para ver como sua f\u00e9 e conex\u00e3o com a IBVM s\u00e3o apoiadas.<\/em>&#8221; Tamb\u00e9m puderam visitar outros abrigos para migrantes em ambos os lados da fronteira. Tiveram a sorte de poder partilhar hist\u00f3rias e refei\u00e7\u00f5es com algumas das mulheres migrantes e os seus filhos.<\/p><p>Maria conta a hist\u00f3ria:<\/p><p><em>&#8220;Na quinta-feira de manh\u00e3, todos n\u00f3s nos sentamos em c\u00edrculo. Christa convidou cada mulher a contar a sua hist\u00f3ria \u2013 tanto quanto quisesse \u2013 em espanhol. Christa ent\u00e3o traduziu para Judy e eu. Para come\u00e7ar, ela pediu que n\u00f3s dois cont\u00e1ssemos um pouco sobre n\u00f3s mesmos, para que pudessem aprender sobre n\u00f3s. Depois, gradualmente, os outros contaram hist\u00f3rias. Alguns aspectos da viagem foram revelados \u2013 o motivo da sa\u00edda da Guatemala, n\u00e3o muito sobre a viagem, as dificuldades em alguns abrigos ao longo do caminho e os desafios na fronteira. Esta rede de abrigos em Juarez\/El Paso \u00e9 uma rede caritativa e segura. Mas nem todos. Agress\u00e3o, abuso, drogas, roubo &#8211; cada um deles \u2013 m\u00e3e e filho &#8211; tinha experimentado parte ou tudo isso ao longo do caminho. No entanto, eles tamb\u00e9m falaram das belas paisagens ao longo do caminho. Foi, como Judy disse, ao mesmo tempo comovente e comovente ouvir. As l\u00e1grimas correram em momentos diferentes, os abra\u00e7os abundaram depois que nos conhecemos de uma nova maneira.
