A lot has to be done to achieve the goal of gender equality but little by little we can surely make a change. We should ask ourselves – If not you, then who? If not now, then when?

The CSW68 Global Adolescent Girl Leadership Townhall was held virtually on 7th March, 2024. The main aim of the session was to empower girls around the world so that their voices could be heard, and their views and valuable suggestions could be used for the welfare and upliftment of women worldwide.
The session was extremely enriching and brought forth numerous solutions to the difficulties faced by girls and women worldwide. The recommendations made were practical, innovative, and sought to effectively tackle the problems at hand. They were a reflection of the changing mindset of the future generations and their dynamic spirit to bring about a change in how the world perceives women.
We also learnt various valuable lessons like the importance of speaking up against discrimination and ill treatment and also the need for youth to advocate for issues that they are passionate about.
It was an extremely insightful and intellectually stimulating session. It was an honor and privilege to be a part of such an event. We are grateful to UN Women, organizations like IBVM and all the Youth Advocates that are working so hard each day for the welfare of girls and women. The session has motivated us to connect with other girls and women for mutual empowerment and help girls especially those living in poverty so that they can also have a chance of fulfilling their dreams.
A lot has to be done to achieve the goal of gender equality but little by little we can surely make a change. We should ask ourselves – If not you, then who? If not now, then when? If we can answer these questions, then we can definitely make the world a better place – for ourselves as well as the entire humankind.
