The 61st Session of the Commission for Social Development (CSocD61) will take place from 6 to 15 February 2023 at the United Nations Headquarters in New York. This year, the CSocD61 will focus on “Creating full and productive employment and decent work for all as a way of overcoming inequalities to accelerate the recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic and the full implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development“.

The CSocD61 will recommend concrete measures for countries, businesses and NGOs to reduce inequality and ensure that decent work is accessible to everyone, including the most marginalized populations.

The Commission will host six high-level panel discussions, including the fourth global review of the Madrid International Plan of Action on Ageing. More than 50 side events have been organized that will focus on employment, social protection and other relevant areas.
