As we live in a world where extreme wealth and extreme poverty co-exist, it is essential that we begin to invest into social protection systems so that we can progress towards reducing inequalities and promote social inclusion. Social Protection systems are central to social equality, justice and allowing the most disadvantaged and excluded groups the basic social guarantees needed to participate fully within societies.
