WGG Mission Visit Training: A Reflection

My hope is to contribute to creating a better world for the generations to come — a world where equality is no longer an aspiration but a reality.

The event was an eye-opening experience for me in many ways. I learned that the struggles faced by women and girls in my country are not unique but are shared by women and girls across the globe in different forms. It was both heartbreaking and inspiring to see how these issues transcend borders, yet there is a collective will to bring about change. I gained valuable insights into the importance of standing up for women’s and girls’ rights and fostering a sense of equality and respect in every corner of society.

One of the most meaningful parts of this journey was the unity I witnessed within my group. Despite our diverse backgrounds and perspectives, we came together with a shared goal, which gave me hope for what can be achieved through collaboration and mutual support. What made this experience even more special was the opportunity we were given to freely express our thoughts and ideas. Having a safe and open space to share our perspectives not only deepened our understanding but also strengthened our bond.

This environment of open dialogue reminded me of how essential it is to listen, learn, and value each other’s voices when working towards a shared vision. I feel empowered by the knowledge I’ve gained here, and I am committed to applying it to make my country a better place for everyone. I want to work towards building a future where women feel safe, respected, and valued, not just in my community but globally.

My hope is to contribute to creating a better world for the generations to come—a world where equality is no longer an aspiration but a reality. This experience has also fueled my desire to be part of more initiatives like this. I would love to attend more mission events and visits in the future, to continue learning, contributing, and growing. Thank you for this incredible opportunity, which has left a lasting impact on me and strengthened my resolve to be an agent of change.
