Skills Development to End Poverty
CHIRAG Centre is a registered voluntary organization owned by the Patna Province of the Congregation of Jesus (CJ) in India. It was established in 1994 to respond directly to the cries of the poor and the marginalized. CHIRAG is now a well-established centre that has spread out to various districts of Bihar.
The most effective and sustainable way to end poverty for families is to have a decent source of income allowing them to afford their basic needs. The Skill Development Training collaborates with Don Bosco Tech and Bihar Skill Development Mission’s Kushal Yuva Program to provide opportunities for economically disadvantaged young people (15-28 years old) to acquire skills and qualifications enabling them to gain employment with a good income.
