Brickfield School Project in India
Kolkata Mary Ward Social Centre conducts 60 informal schools for the children of migrant brickfield workers from the states of Bihar, Odisha, Chhattisgarh and Jharkhand. The Project works extensively with migrant children of seasonal migrant workers and provide them access to education.
The children are unable to attend mainstream schools as they migrate with their families to where work is available. The project not only provides education but also health facilities. Holistic development of the children is the key focus of this program.
