Reflections on Global Conversation Circles at CSW65

The program was very fruitful and it surely motivated us to work hard to bring positive reform in the society.

From Nepal to the United States, girls from every corner of the world participated and contributed to an equality campaign conducted by the Working Group on Girls, a network of NGOs that IBVM NGO office is a proud member. In the conference we discussed various women related problems and all the feasible solutions to those problems.

We talked about various problems like gender discrimination, women education, women health complexities, career and motherhood, etc. In order to find the solution of these problems we first scrutinized the root of these problems.
In general, the causes of almost all the problems faced by women are similar. Some of the major causes are illiteracy, patriarchy, lack of family support, lack of implementation of the rules, sexual harassment etc.

Girls from all over the world suggested the solutions to various problems, shared their views on different topics and had a very fruitful interaction. Some general solutions to the major problems faced by women turned out to be punishment to the ones who don’t abide by the rules, gender equality, equal opportunity, equal role in navigating career and family, elimination of superstitious practices, etc.

The program was very fruitful and I would like to thank the IBVM organisers for having us participated in the program and have given us such a wonderful opportunity to be a part of the international equality campaign CSW. The program was very fruitful and it surely motivated us to work hard to bring positive reform in the society.
